"Christie has been religiously keeping a journal since she first started her modeling career, writing about all her travels and romances and all the wonderful, and not so wonderful, moments in her life," the insider shared, adding:

"Now that she's in her 70s, she decided it was time to share her life story. She figures it's now or never."

The Model's Books Is Not A Revenge Story

Although she addressed some tumultuous relationships in the memoir, the insider stressed that Brinkley's book was not focused on payback. "Her goal with this book isn't revenge. She's sharing her life story and philosophy with the hope that she can inspire readers to make the most of their lives," they claimed.

The source continued: "Of course, there are certain people who have done her wrong over the years that are going to get blasted, namely her ex-husband Peter [Cook], who really put her through hell. She's still furious at the way he tried to destroy her, and she doesn't hold back in this book."

Brinkley and Cook tied the knot in 1996 before calling it quits over a decade later. They divorced in 2008 after the media personality discovered his affair with his then-19-year-old assistant, Diana Bianchi. The insider noted she would address this emotional moment in her memoir.

Was The Memoir's Title Inspired By Brinkley's Second Marriage?

Brinkley walked down the aisle four times, with Cook being her last husband. She first tied the knot to Jean-François Allaux in 1973 and divorced him in 1981. Next came Billy Joel, whom she was with from 1985 to 1994, and Richard Taubman from 1994 to 1995.

While her fourth marriage ended as a highly publicized scandal, her second marriage was a different story. Brinkley starred in several of Joel's music videos, including "Uptown Girl," the same title as her upcoming book. Could it be a coincidence, or did she knowingly choose this name for her emotional project?

The latter seems plausible, with the insider noting, "She has a beautiful friendship with Billy now, and she's going to tell all about their love affair, heartbreaking divorce, and the beautiful way that they've healed the hurt and come together as true friends in the years since they split up."

"I got serious a bit late, so now for this ole mermaid/gardener, I'll be slathering on my SPF 30, reapplying as needed, wearing long sleeves and a wide-brim hat," Brinkley continued.

Additionally, she advised fans to prioritize regular checkups, noting her condition was discovered while accompanying one of her daughters to her checkup.
