Unlike Cruise, who famously slid across the floor in socks, Kate Hudson added a touch of elegance with cream-colored Jimmy Choo kitten heels.

The "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" star put her own spin on Cruise’s famous scene for Bustle, showcasing her toned legs in an oversized blue and white striped Proenza Schouler button-up shirt layered over a white Bevza tank top and Araks briefs.

Completing the look, she accessorized with white calf-length Calzedonia socks and black Saint Laurent square-shaped sunglasses.

For the shoot, hairstylist Lona Vigi gave Hudson’s signature blonde locks soft waves, while makeup artist Debra Ferullo created a glowing, dewy complexion. The effortlessly cool aesthetic complemented Hudson’s confident and carefree energy, something she also touched on in her interview promoting her upcoming Netflix show "Running Point."

Kate Hudson Is Embracing Confidence Like Never Before

Now at 45, Hudson says she feels more in tune with herself than ever. “In Covid, I realized that my creativity had been shut off for a long time,” she admitted.

Reflecting on that period, adding, “In those moments of fear, I was like, ‘I’m not putting out what I want to be totally putting out right now.’ Music was the big flashing red light for me.”

The actress, who released her debut album "Glorious" in May 2024, emphasized that she’s now focused on the projects that bring her fulfillment. “I’m very clear about the things that I really want to be doing now in my life. Whether it’s good, whether it’s bad, I know how my machine wants to function.”

Hudson also reflected on the influence of her famous family, particularly her mother, Goldie Hawn, and stepfather, Kurt Russell.

“I had parents that instilled in me that it was OK to be self-possessed and to believe in myself. I was very driven when it came to wanting to be in the arts. I didn’t need to do a talent show with three people; I wanted to be out there by myself dancing,” she recalled.

For Hudson, working on "Running Point" felt like stepping into a heartthrob paradise. The actress was surrounded by a roster of leading men, including "New Girl" alum Max Greenfield, Top Gun: Maverick star Jay Ellis, and Justin Theroux, whom she playfully described as channeling a “dirtbag scion” à la Hunter Biden.

“I was like, ‘What a dream! We have so many beautiful men to work with every day!’” Hudson gushed in a recent interview, nearly dropping a “hubba hubba” in excitement. But one co-star, in particular, left an even bigger impression. Relative newcomer Toby Sandeman made Hudson downright weak in the knees. “I remember there’s a scene where he comes in in this white suit, and he actually took my breath away. I literally was like, ‘Hi.’”

At 45, Hudson has long embraced her status as Hollywood’s reigning high priestess of boy craziness. Ever since she burst onto the scene as Penny Lane in "Almost Famous," a role that earned her an Oscar nomination at just 21, her charismatic energy and undeniable charm have made her a standout.

“I’m the biggest flirt on the planet. So I think anybody who’s ever been with me is very aware that I flirt with everybody — girls, boys,” she admitted. In fact, Hudson once took an entire year off from men in an attempt to curb the side effects of her natural flirtatiousness.

Thankfully, her fiancé, musician Danny Fujikawa, takes it all in stride. Hudson and Fujikawa, who share a daughter, Rani, were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic.

“Thank God Danny is my partner. He can handle this. I met the right guy,” she said. Hudson also has two sons from previous relationships—one with The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and another with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.
