“The reason it’s such a frenzy is that they keep releasing more and more stuff,” Handler told Page Six, referring to Lively and Baldoni’s public legal spat. She admitted that while she finds the situation “interesting,” she wishes they would stop adding fuel to the fire. “Stop it! You’re not helping yourself,” she advised.
Handler also took aim at Baldoni for publicly sharing private text messages between himself and Lively, likening the situation to an immature schoolyard brawl.
“It’s like you have to break up a fight in a schoolyard playground,” she quipped. “It’s like, ‘Don’t they know to stop?’ Isn’t someone saying, ‘Stop it!’?”
Chelsea Handler Mocks Blake Lively And Justin Baldoni’s Feud

This isn't the first time Handler has spoken out about the ongoing feud.
During her Critics Choice Awards monologue, she took a sharp jab at Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s highly publicized legal feud. The comedian, known for her no-filter humor, framed their bitter dispute as an unexpected silver lining amid President Donald Trump’s second term, joking that it’s provided a much-needed break from the exhausting news cycle.
“Waking up every day, not knowing what news we are going to hear that will disappoint or horrify us. So, it’s important, in times like these, to have a distraction. And that’s why I want to personally extend my gratitude to Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively,” Handler quipped.
Clearly leaning into the spectacle their legal battle has become, she continued, “Thank you for providing us with that distraction. I’m grateful. I think we’re all grateful, and I think we’re good. I think everybody in this room, no matter whose side you’re on, we can all agree to accept that there’s probably not going to be a sequel.”

Rumors of tension between Lively and Baldoni first surfaced last summer when the "It Ends With Us" co-stars noticeably avoided joint promotional appearances. Then, in December 2024, Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni, accusing him of trying to “destroy” her reputation.
A few weeks later, she formally sued him in New York federal court for lost wages and emotional distress.

Baldoni has vehemently denied the allegations, countering with his own $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times, which first reported on Lively’s complaint, and an additional $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloane, alleging extortion.
In an effort to defend himself, Baldoni released private text exchanges with Lively, including one in which she allegedly wrote, “If you knew me (in person) longer you’d have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball busting will play. It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth…..”
Lively recently criticized a Hollywood Reporter cover story about the feud, calling it “outrageously insulting as it plays into every sexist trope about women who dare file a workplace complaint.”

Blake Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni is taking a serious emotional toll, with the actress filing a new complaint reinforcing her claims against her "It Ends With Us" co-star.
