Lizzo’s Weight-Loss Journey

The four-time Grammy winner has been open about her fitness goals, revealing earlier this year that she had been on an intentional weight-loss journey.

“Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I’m not going to be considered thin by any means,” she shared in January. “I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. And little bros on the internet are still going to call me big-backed. But I will be happy.”

And happy she was when, on January 16, she revealed through her weight-loss app that she had successfully reduced her body fat by 16% and lowered her BMI by 10.5.

Ozempic Rumors And Diet Plan

Lizzo has never officially confirmed or denied using the weight-loss drug Ozempic, a semaglutide injectable originally intended for type 2 diabetes patients. While some speculated that it played a role in her transformation, she dismissed the rumors last September by rolling her eyes at the allegations.

Instead, the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker credited five months of weight training and a calorie-deficit diet focused on high-protein meals and vegetables for her slimmed-down figure.

New Music On The Horizon

Lizzo’s weight-loss reveal isn’t the only thing making headlines—she also teased new music last weekend with a cryptic Instagram clip. The snippet featured her silently cry-laughing while playing a haunting flute melody, sparking intrigue among fans.

She later confirmed that a new song will drop on February 28, marking the beginning of a fresh musical era.

Legal Battle Looms

Despite her personal and professional successes, Lizzo is still facing a legal battle with three of her former backup dancers—Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez—who filed a lawsuit against her last year, alleging sexual, religious, and racial harassment.

The “Good as Hell” singer has vehemently denied all accusations, but the case is set to go to trial at the Santa Monica Courthouse.

For now, though, Lizzo is celebrating her personal victories, looking ahead to her music comeback, and continuing to inspire fans with her journey.
