He continued, "And that's the beautiful thing and the annoying thing about what we do. It's just unquantifiable, it's play time. You don't get to fully grow up. You get to kind of keep the dream of a child alive, to try to figure out what it is to be human, and it's so much fun."

Farrell went on to acknowledge the incredible cast and crew behind "The Penguin," as well as his fellow nominees, emphasizing the camaraderie and mutual support within the industry. “We all support each other,” he said, highlighting the sense of unity among actors.

Earlier this year, he took home a Golden Globe for the role, and both he and co-star Cristin Milioti earned Critics’ Choice Awards for their performances.

Following his Golden Globe win, Farrell was asked about joining the ranks of legendary actors who have portrayed iconic DC villains, including Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix, both of whom won Academy Awards for their portrayals of the Joker.

“You mentioned two actors who are, I think, for my money, two of the most extraordinarily talented and gifted and just brilliant artists in films that I’ve ever had the fortune to observe and be affected by,” Farrell said at the time.

“What Heath did in Chris Nolan’s 'The Dark Knight' was extraordinary and will live on for future generations," he added. "And what [Phoenix] did with the Joker, as exemplified by all the awards that he won at the Oscars, was extraordinary.”

Farrell was up against strong competition in the category, including Javier Bardem ("Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story"), Kevin Kline ("Disclaimer"), Andrew Scott ("Ripley"), and Richard Gadd ("Baby Reindeer").

Meanwhile, Jamie Lee Curtis turned heads on the SAG Awards red carpet, embracing old Hollywood glamour in a dazzling Dolce & Gabbana black sequined gown. The dramatic look featured a feathered top cascading down her arms into statement sleeves, adding an extra touch of elegance.

Keeping the focus on the gown, Curtis accessorized minimally, opting for silver and black stud earrings from Cathy Waterman. Her beauty look was equally effortless, with makeup artist Grace Ahn creating a glowing complexion, fluttery lashes, and a soft lip.
