Johnny Depp claims the guy who sued him for assault after an incident on a movie set, asked for a selfie and then hugged it out with the actor. We have a copy of the photo, and it clearly shows Depp was telling the truth.

We have obtained a copy of the actual selfie, that Johnny Depp claims Rocky Brooks asked for, after having a toast following their argument.

The Blast

As you can see, both Johnny and Rocky are smiling and Brooks doesn't seem to show any injuries from the incident.

We're told the picture has been filed into evidence, by Depp, into the case. Depp is hoping to prove Brooks is exaggerating their interaction on the set.

Depp testified during his deposition Brooks and him squashed their beef and toasted some red wine to celebrate the end of shooting. While talking, he says Brooks asked for a picture with the star.

Our sources say, Brooks actually sent the photo to other people with an indication everything was all good with Depp. In one case, it included the quote, "that's a wrap" including a emoji with sunglasses and a smiley face.

One of those people, send the photo along with text exchanges with Brooks to lawyers in the case.

"In fact, I brought -- I'd had my assistant bring a bottle of wine. And we toasted in I think paper cups. And, you know, no harm, no foul. I apologized. He apologized. Gave him a hug. We embraced. You know, I hugged him. And everything was cool. As a matter of fact, he asked for a selfie with me. And so I took a selfie with him," Depp said during deposition questioning.

Depp's attorney Adam Waldman tells The Blast, "Today, one more whistleblower who doesn’t know Mr. Depp felt compelled to come forward to defend the truth by presenting a photograph and text exchanges. And yesterday, Judge Fujie denied all of Rocky Brooks’ motions, which were transparent attempts to turn his looming trial into a circus by citing irrelevancies like Amber Heard’s unrelated hoax allegations. Mr. Brooks’ motions exposed what his lawyers meant when they said they were "working with Amber Heard’s counsel Eric George.”

Depp has accused Brooks of working with his ex-wife Amber Heard, and trying to use the defamation case Johnny filed against Amber proof of violent tendencies by Depp in this case.

We're told the picture will now be key evidence during the trial which is slated to start later this month.
