Rocky was accused of firing a handgun at his former friend, A$AP Relli, during a confrontation in 2021 and declined a plea deal before his trial commenced.

The Fenty founder didn't hesitate to jump to her partner's defense when a reporter asked him an insensitive question.

Rihanna was by Rocky's side as he and his attorney, Joe Tacopina, answered questions from numerous reporters outside the Los Angeles courthouse.

Rocky was responding to a question when a female reporter in the background asked him how it felt "losing his childhood best friend."

Rihanna was instantly displeased by the nature of the question and turned around to face the woman.

The "Work" singer replied, "How do you think it feels?" She also made a dismissive hand gesture and shook her head in disapproval.

Meanwhile, Rocky said nothing but looked back to see who asked the question. However, his furrowed eyebrows and similar hand gesture as Rihanna's suggested that the question also surprised him.
