“The Property Brothers” stars Drew and Jonathan Scott detailed the remodel of “The Brady Bunch” home on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show.

Drew & Jonathan Scott sat down with Clarkson to discuss their HGTV show “A Very Brady Renovation”. The network bought the famous home featured on the sitcom. The reality stars worked with the original cast to remodel the property.

They explained to Clarkson, “HGTV bought the actual house instead of developers who were going to flatten it.”

They added, “And we renovated it to be the real space. And we had all the original six Brady kids as apart of the show… when you walk into the house, it’s the real Brady house now.”

The brothers explained how HGTV beat out NSYNC's Lance Bass on buying the home. They jokingly said they were going to do “The Golden Girls” home next.

Last year, HGTV started the process by filing for permits to work on the “interior kitchen remodel/repair (no changes in walls or openings).” The estimated cost of the work was $2,000 and they already hired contractors.

There was a separate permit that was filed for the home to “add 40’9″ X 24’8″ ground floor addition for new kitchen and family room with 8’3″ x 24’8” covered patio.”

Additional improvements include a 63’6 X 24’8” second-floor addition for new bedrooms. The total estimated cost for the work in the second permit comes to $350,000.

According to documents, the amount it cost to just file the permit with the City of Los Angeles came to $19,341.
