Benny Blanco Admits He's 'Scared' Selena Gomez Would One Day 'Wake Up' And Leave Him

Benny Blanco recently opened up about his insecurities about his relationship with singer Selena Gomez.

In a new interview, the music producer revealed that he was worried that his billionaire girlfriend would "wake up" and break up with him one day.

However, Selena Gomez assured Benny Blanco, telling her fiancé that he is stuck with her forever.

In a chat with Interview Magazine, Blanco opened up about his relationship with fiancée Gomez, revealing his deepest fears about their future together.

The 36-year-old music producer admitted that he sometimes struggles with insecurity, worrying that Gomez, 32, might one day change her mind.

He confessed: "I'm so scared she's just going to wake up and be like, 'What? No.'" However, Gomez reassured him, saying, "You're stuck with me," while describing Blanco as "very romantic."

Despite his worries, Blanco emphasized their unwavering support for each other.

"There's no ego between us. She's praying for me to win, and I'm praying for her to win," Blanco said.

This comes as Blanco and Gomez are gearing up to release their much-anticipated joint album, "I Said I Love You First," set to drop on March 21.

Initially hesitant about working together, the couple agreed to stop if the process ever felt awkward or strained.

Despite early "jitters," Blanco shared that everything "fell into place" while collaborating with Gomez thanks to "a lot of hard work and love."

Last week, they debuted their first love song, "Scared of Loving You," accompanied by a heartfelt music video shot at Disneyland.

This release comes as Gomez, who recently starred in "Emilia Pérez," had previously hinted at stepping back from music to focus on acting.

Teasing the album to her 421 million followers, the "Love On" hitmaker wrote, "I always trick you guys! My NEW album, 'I Said I Love You First,' with my best friend @bennyblanco, is out on 3/21."

She added, "Our first song, Scared of Loving You, is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can't wait to share this special project with you soon!"

In a December conversation for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series, Gomez reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry.

"I definitely think my strong suit is probably acting," she admitted. "But one thing I'm proud of in music is being able to tell a story — my favorite songs are mostly ballads, and they're very transparent and honest."

The former Disney star also shared her thoughts on the pop-star lifestyle, saying, "I think I might be a little too old for the pop-star life. I'm genuinely so happy to just be in this new era of my life, because in a lot of ways, it's just the beginning."

Gomez's last music release was "Revelación," her Spanish-language EP from March 2021, nearly four years ago.

In December, Gomez surprised her fans by announcing her engagement to Blanco.

Taking to Instagram, Gomez delighted her followers by flaunting her stunning engagement ring in a series of photos of her with her fiancé.

Alongside the carousel of pictures, Gomez added the caption, "Forever begins now," hinting at her excitement to walk down the aisle with Blanco.

Blanco reciprocated the affection in the comments section, writing, "Hey wait… that's my wife."

The couple has yet to announce a wedding date, but it wouldn't be surprising if they set one soon.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gomez opened up about her romance with Blanco, describing it as the "safest" relationship she has ever experienced.

"This is the safest I've ever felt in a relationship, and I see a future with this person," the singer shared.

Meanwhile, Blanco, who appeared on Kai Cenat's Twitch stream, revealed that Gomez initiated their relationship.

"She asked me out. It was crazy," Blanco recounted. "We were just talking, and then she said, 'You wanna get dinner?' I went to the dinner, and I had no idea."

Blanco also shared that he wasn't nervous about the first date due to their pre-existing personal and professional connection.
