The 'Pirates of the Carribean' star sat down for a deposition in the case and answered questions about the altercation. Brook's attorney questioned the actor for several hours about what exactly transpired.

Rocky Brooks sued Depp claiming the actor punched him after arguing over filming hours, and location. Johnny responded to the lawsuit by claiming Brooks was being disrespectful to a homeless woman on the set, and he simply intervened.

"I witnessed Mr. Brooks behaving in an irrational and sort of angry manner in which he began too -- there happened to be an elderly woman who I supposed he felt was in his way -- I don't know. But he -- he was very disrespectful to her and use harsh words with her as if she had done something to him," the actor began.

Depp continued, "He had -- his words to her were with great anger and bitterness -- and you know, there was a lot of poison in it. And it was -- it was not just, and it was belligerent. And my reaction to that was to stop that confrontation. Was to remind him that he was on a film set and this -- he had no right to speak to that woman in that way he was speaking to her. Had no right to treat her that way. Did he think that he was more important than she was?"

Johnny then claims when he confronted brooks about treatment of the woman, he said "He had quite a cocky attitude but it somewhere in the neighborhood of "f*** you. I don't have to listen to you. He was just sort of standing there chewing gum."

Depp continued, "You know, he was playing it very cocky as if he wanted some sort of confrontation. He had done something quite ugly with regards to that elderly woman. You know, an elderly black woman who was homeless."

Unbelievably, Depp then explains that after the incident he asked to speak with Brooks and the two men hugged it out, quashed their beef, and even had a toast.

"In fact, I brought -- I'd had my assistant bring a bottle of wine. And we toasted in I think paper cups. And, you know, no harm, no foul. I apologized. He apologized. Gave him a hug. We embraced. You know, I hugged him. And everything was cool," Johnny said to attorney questioning him.

In the end, Johnny claims the guy actually asked for a picture with him following the toast, and Depp agreed.

"As a matter of fact, he asked for a selfie with me. And so I took a selfie with him," Depp said.

Johnny Depp has accused Brooks of working with his ex-wife Amber Heard. The actor claims Brooks is trying to use the defamation case Johnny filed against Amber as ammunition in this case.
