The star wore her hair down and paired the look with bright red lips and lots of gold jewelry. Williams was flanked by her son Kevin Jr. Williams did not achieve this incredible feat alone. Her son practically made it happen, and he alluded to it in the caption of the photo:

Before this outing, Williams' attorney affirmed that the talk show host was not mentally balanced despite the star's claim that she was not "cognitively impaired."

As shared by The Blast, Kaplan emphasized that her moment of brief clarity during an interview should not be taken as an indication of her overall condition. Williams reportedly experiences both lucid and non-lucid days due to frontal lobe dementia, a degenerative disease for which there is no cure.

Kaplan highlighted that Williams would require lifelong care and pointed out that a New York state court had previously determined her unable to make independent legal and financial decisions.

Despite her candid interview on "The Breakfast Club," where she expressed her desire for independence from her conservatorship, Kaplan cautioned fans not to let her brief lucidity mislead them about her needs for support.

Additionally, it was noted that her conservator, Morrissey, is legally prohibited from commenting on Williams or her health condition as per court orders.

Williams reiterated that the care facility did not suit her, emphasizing her feelings of isolation from her family. She described her communication limitations, explaining that while she could make phone calls to her loved ones, they could not contact her.

The TV legend's story captured Charlamagne's attention as he urged her not to use any pills she did not trust were good for her. Williams agreed with his stance and stressed that she had taken just two pills since her admission.

The media personality's friends also intervened in her situation by creating a GoFundMe account on behalf of her family. The page was reportedly launched on January 15 towards her journey to gaining independence from her guardianship.

Williams' friends hoped to hit a $50,000 goal and had reportedly gathered $8,954 at the time of the report. The fundraiser's description outlined that funds would cover legal costs to assist Williams in her fight for independence.

"For far too long, Wendy has faced the challenges of being unjustly placed under guardianship and labeled as incapacitated, despite her strong will and determination to live her life independently," the statement explained.

The 60-year-old has reportedly been residing in the memory care unit of her assisted living facility for several months, but not because of dementia, as some have assumed.

The Blast shared that Williams was moved there following an incident involving alcohol consumption at the facility's top-floor restaurant.

The whole thing happened during a lunch visit where she began ordering drinks and became intoxicated. When the facility supervisors discovered what had happened, they were outraged that she had been served alcohol.

To address the situation, they decided to relocate Wendy to the fifth-floor memory unit, where residents do not have unrestricted access to the elevator. Insiders indicated their main concern was preventing her from returning to the restaurant and drinking again.
