Respin Is Meant To Bring Menopausal Women Together In One Community

Berry's Instagram post continued with more information about the new online space for women.

"We're so glad you're here as we fully embrace our true purpose: creating spaces for connection, care, and conversation so that no woman has to navigate the pivotal transition of menopause alone," the caption continued.

"We want Respin to be a vibrant, intimate community where women can unite, learn, and flourish together. Because we just know that when we shift the narrative around menopause, we transform the experience itself. All week, we'll show you how we've turned Respin into a platform dedicated to creating and curating tools that will help us reshape the dialogue around menopause. It didn't take long after posting about Respin on Instagram before many dropped into the comment section to share their thoughts.

Another added, "I love this. I went into full blown menopause in my early 30s, and it was brutal. The lack of support and information is tragic."

Halle Berry Shares Her Menopause Story On Respin

Berry shares some of her relatable menopause story on the website.

"I found out I was in perimenopause at 54 — abruptly, with no warning from my doctors. I was not prepared and did not know where to turn for support. I was one of the millions of women who spent 4-5 years of their lives being misdiagnosed, or not diagnosed at all," Berry shared on the website.

"We're now building what I wish I’d had access to: a resource for women in the midst of menopause, on the cusp of it in perimenopause, or preparing for it. We are focused on making this experience better for all women, and that starts with being rooted in community, backed by science, and leveraging technology to scale. We’re redefining what it means to live a healthy life during your second act."

Respin Is All About 'Community'

On Tuesday morning, the actress appeared on the "Today Show" to talk about her new company.

"When women have access to a robust community of like-minded women, they automatically start to do better," she said on the show.

"Sadly, people said to me, 'Are you sure you want to talk about that? Do you want to align yourself with menopause? Do you worry how that will affect your career?' And I said, 'No.' And that's exactly why I should be talking about it because there's nothing wrong with being in my mid-life. There's nothing wrong with being 58, and you have to stop telling me there's something wrong with me. And I'm going to prove to you that it's not. And so women, we have to work together to destigmatize this time of life and change culture."

She continued explaining that, "It's not time to sit down. It's time to reinvent. It's time to have a beautiful, glorious second act. We can still be our fabulous selves, but we have to learn how."
