The former couple, who ended their relationship in August 2022, briefly crossed paths at the "SNL" anniversary celebration on Sunday before later being spotted chatting at the after-parties.

The last time Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were publicly seen together was at the 2023 Met Gala, where they were photographed having a friendly conversation with Usher.

Kim Kardashian made a glamorous entrance at the Crane Club in New York City, attending the star-studded "SNL 50" anniversary celebration in a signature skintight ensemble that turned heads.

On her way inside, the reality star took a moment to answer a few questions, sharing details about her favorite book and reminiscing about her high school reunion. Meanwhile, Pete Davidson, who was also in attendance, kept a lower profile, opting not to say much but pausing briefly to pose for photos.

Once inside, insiders say that the two did have a quick interaction, though it is unclear exactly what was said. A source close to Davidson assured PEOPLE Magazine that the conversation was strictly platonic.

"He has nothing but love and respect for Kim," the insider shared. "He hopes everyone can move on."

The event marked yet another public encounter between the former couple, who famously first connected in Studio 8H when Kardashian hosted "Saturday Night Live" in 2021. Their on-screen chemistry quickly became a viral moment, especially when they shared a kiss during an "Aladdin"-themed sketch.

The pair were then spotted holding hands on a roller coaster ride at Knott’s Scary Farm and later met for a quiet dinner on New York’s Staten Island. Davidson soon publicly referred to Kardashian as his girlfriend, launching a whirlwind romance that spanned the globe, dominated headlines, and led to their iconic Met Gala moment.

Davidson recently reflected on his "Saturday Night Live" journey in Peacock’s documentary "Beyond Saturday Night," where he rewatched his original audition tape, which was filmed when he was just a 20-year-old in a Spider-Man T-shirt from Target.

"The innocence in my eyes made me so sad," he told Page Six. "Showbiz is so tough, and I didn’t know how tough it was."

The Staten Island native, who has been candid about his struggles with sobriety, borderline personality disorder, and PTSD, acknowledged that he might have chosen a difficult industry given his mental health battles.

"I picked the wrong business to have a mental illness and go into. I’m one of the most insecure and sad people ever, and I picked the most insecure, sad business to go into," he said, half-joking, half-serious in his signature self-deprecating style.

As one of the youngest cast members in "SNL" history, Davidson often felt out of place among his much older colleagues.

"Everyone was 10-plus years older than me, and I had a hard time fitting in. No one was mean, but there was an age difference," he recalled. "They were getting married, having kids, and I was like, ‘Do you guys want to come over to play video games?!’ So I hung out with Lorne.”

That “Lorne” is, of course, Lorne Michaels, the legendary creator and producer of "SNL," who took a chance on Davidson despite not having a clear plan for him. Davidson credits Michaels for changing his life, revealing that the "SNL" mastermind didn’t know exactly where he fit but believed in his potential.

"Lorne told me, ‘I’m not really sure what to do with you, but I know you should be here,’" Davidson shared. "And it was life-changing. I owe him my entire career, and I love the guy. He’s one of my closest friends."

Even in moments of doubt, Michaels reassured Davidson of his place on the show. "He’s my Tony Soprano, and I’m his Christopher Moltisanti. One day he might kill me and it would be worth it!" Davidson quipped.

Recently, Davidson reflected on the intense public scrutiny surrounding his high-profile relationships and the challenges that came with it.

"It was pretty humiliating and upsetting, honestly," he told Page Six earlier this month. "Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood. But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like, five years and it made my life a living hell."
