Shakira Has Been Hospitalized

Fans of Shakira in Peru would unfortunately not be able to see her perform on Sunday night due to the singer being hospitalized after suffering from abdominal pain.
In a post shared on her Instagram Stories in Spanish, Shakira expressed sadness over having to postpone her show due to her hospitalization but revealed she and her team are working to reschedule the tour dates.
"I regret to inform you that last night i had to go to the emergency room for an abdominal condition, and i am hospitalized at the moment. The doctors who are treating me have informed me that i am not in a condition to present a concert tonight," Shakira's message read.

It continued, "I am very sad that i will not be able to go on stage today. I have been really excited to meet my dear Peruvian audience again. I hope tomorrow i will be better and that i will be released as soon as possible to be able to present the show i have prepared for all of you."
Shakira concluded her message, saying, "My plan is to perform this show as soon as possible. My team and the promoter are already here working on a new date to communicate to you. Thank you for your understanding, I love you very much. Shak."

A third person commented, "Get well soon, Latin queen!"
Shakira's 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour' Kicked Off In Brazil

Shakira commenced her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour" on Tuesday night in Brazil.
The "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker will perform for over 30 dates across countries like Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and North America.
Ahead of her flag-off performance, Shakira took to social media to share a lengthy statement, revealing she'd been rehearsing for the tour for over a year and had devoted 14 hours a day to master her performance.
"Today is the day. At this moment I write these lines from my dressing room. The reflection in the mirror gives me the image of a woman who has left every last breath in each rehearsal, in each chord, in each step," she wrote in Spanish, per Variety.
Shakira added, "I know that perfection does not exist, but I do know that tonight I will give myself to you as I am, with my voice sharpened by experience and my skin marked by each one."
The Singer Called Out Her Ex-Partner Pique And His New Girlfriend

Shakira turned heads in her shimmering silver outfit and dark sunglasses while making a striking entrance for her performance.
The singer also shocked fans when she shared a subtle dig at her ex-partner, former Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique, and his current girlfriend, Clara Chía, with whom he allegedly cheated on her.
She not only modified the lyrics of "La Bicicleta," her collaboration with Carlos Vives, to remove any mention of Piqué but also shared a reworked version of her hit "Don't Bother," which had pronounced changes to its lyrics, per Latin Times.
One of the most striking changes was replacing "she's got perfect friends" with "she shares your stupid friends," referencing her broken relationship with Pique's friends.

In another line, Shakira took direct aim at the footballer's new girlfriend, Chia.
"She works for you for free; don't make her lose her mind. She's more than you deserve, and yet she's still not better than me," she sang in this updated version.
She then came out point blank to address all she did for her relationship with Pique, only to have it fail.
"I gave up everything I had for you and moved to a socialist country just to be with you. I filed my nails down so they wouldn't hurt you. I lost weight, learned about football just so you'd stay, but you didn't—and you won't," Shakira sang.
Rounding up her performance, she told the crowd in Rio de Janeiro Nilton Santos Stadium, "Music heals. Loving someone else is beautiful, but loving yourself is even more beautiful."
Shakira Won A Grammy For Best Latin Pop Album

Her tour comes weeks after her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" album received the Grammys for Best Latin Pop Album.
After receiving the award from Jennifer Lopez, the Colombian singer thanked her children and dedicated the award "to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country."
"You are loved. You are worth it, and I will always fight with you," Shakira added, per Variety.
Additionally, she took the time to honor "all of those women who work really hard every day to provide for their families."
She concluded her acceptance speech by saying, "You are the true She-wolves."
