A day before prog-rock singer Phil Collins fell backwards on stage in Charlotte, North Carolina, a photo showed the British celebrity in a wheelchair. This simply will not do.
Collins fell Sunday at Spectrum Center in Charlotte. He had fallen backwards in his chair while his son Nicolas, 18, played the drums.
Video showed Collins walking to his chair while using a cane and falling backwards. Members of the crew came to help; later he gave fans a thumbs-up to show everything was fine.

The former Genesis frontman apologized to fans in 2017 after he had to postpone a couple London concerts -- he had fallen in his hotel room and needed to go to the hospital to get some stitches for a cut.
According to that statement:
"Phil sends his sincere apologies and thanks to fans. He has had a fantastic week at his first shows in ten years, cannot thank people enough for their warm reaction and is excited to return."

While he was on tour with Genesis, Collins had surgery on his neck after he dislocated a few vertebrae.
The surgery also helped his spinal and nerve problems.
While in recovery after more surgery in 2015, Collins broke his foot -- twice -- and suffered nerve damage. That prompted his use now of the cane.
Collins took over as lead vocalist for Genesis after Peter Gabriel left the band in 1975, which splintered fan support of the group at the time.
Collins is still in America on his Still Not Dead Yet Live! tour -- he's set to perform in Pittsburgh tonight. The last show in the tour will be in Las Vegas on Oct. 19.
