'RHOBH' Teddi Mellencamp's Estranged Husband Puts Fans At Ease With Post Surgery Update

Edwin Arroyave is providing an update on Teddi Mellencamp's condition after she underwent surgery to remove two brain tumors. Despite their separation, Arroyave's support for Mellencamp remains steadfast.  

Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave, who were married since 2011 with three children, separated last year following infidelity allegations against Mellencamp.

Responding to numerous inquiries from concerned fans, Arroyave took to his Instagram Stories to share a brief but positive message. "All I will say right now is surgery went well," Arroyave wrote.  He then acknowledged the difficult recovery process, adding:

"That said, I've never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain."  

He noted that she was finally able to rest and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she had received. "She's finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love," he concluded.

The estranged pair are parents to three children: son Cruz and daughters Slate and Dove.  Their relationship has faced recent challenges, with Mellencamp ending their long-term marriage late last year amidst allegations of infidelity, including a rumored affair with her married horse trainer. 

Despite their separation, Arroyave's support for Mellencamp has been evident in a series of heartfelt social media posts. 

The Blast reported that before his recent update on Mellencamp's surgery, Arroyave shared several glimpses into his time with her in the hospital. In one Instagram Story, he posted a video of himself and their daughter, Dove, with the youngster asking if he would stay with her mom.  

Arroyave lovingly declared that the armchair would be his "bed" for the night. The video then panned to show Mellencamp in her hospital bed, surrounded by loved ones.  

Arroyave's other update included a touching photo of him leaning over her hospital bed, her hand resting on his head. In the caption, he offered a heartfelt prayer for her recovery:

"Lord, I lift up @teddimellencamp to You. You are the Great Healer, and I ask for Your healing touch upon her body. Restore her strength, renew her spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Grant her peace, hope, and full recovery. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Arroyave's posts about Mellencamp brought an outpouring from fans expressing gratitude for his presence. Several commenters emphasized the importance of family support during health crises.

"So glad to see her by her side during this difficult time," one person wrote.  Another added, "Happy to see you joined together during this time. Praying for Teddi and your family."  

The reunion of the estranged couple clearly resonated with fans, like this person who noted that it was "so good" to see them together. A fourth praised Arroyave's actions, calling him a "good man."

One fan wrote a particularly moving message to Arroyave, stating, "@edwinarroyaveofficial, you're a hell of a good man. Hold those babies so tight. I am so, so sorry. Sending all the prayers you guys' way. COME ON @teddimellencamp."  

Many added prayer hand emojis, while others wrote heartfelt prayers for Mellencamp.

ICYMI, Mellencamp updated her fans, explaining that she had been experiencing "severe and debilitating headaches" before the diagnosis. In her words:

"Yesterday, the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months."

The mother-of-three shared that she would undergo surgery to remove two of the tumors, with the remaining smaller tumors to be treated with radiation at a later time.  

Despite the serious nature of her diagnosis, Mellencamp expressed gratitude for the support system surrounding her. "I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health," she wrote. 

Despite receiving an outpouring of support for her health challenges, The Blast reported that Mellencamp is facing legal trouble. The former staff member, identified as Julia Umana, claims she worked as a live-in nanny and housekeeper for Mellencamp but experienced a hostile work environment. 

Umana alleged that the reality TV star abused her position of power, frequently reduced her paychecks, and created a toxic atmosphere marked by racial discrimination and harassment.

Umana's lawsuit contends that Mellencamp overworked her and treated her unfairly compared to other household staff who were white.  

She further claims that Mellencamp falsely accused her of theft despite the presence of security cameras in the home.  Umana also alleges that the 43-year-old mocked her Salvadoran heritage.

The lawsuit states that when Umana expressed her desire to resign due to the unbearable conditions, Mellencamp pressured her into working three 12-hour shifts for a mere $325. Umana claims she complained about the insufficient payment and was subsequently terminated. 

Despite their personal challenges, Edwin Arroyave's unwavering support for Teddi Mellencamp demonstrates the enduring power of their bond.
