Tremendously Sad Corey Feldman Mourns The Death Of His Drummer 'At A Very Young Age'

Corey Feldman is grieving the loss of his drummer, Duke Gadd, who died this week in Las Vegas. While dealing with this heartbreaking news, Feldman is also contending with other personal matters, including his ongoing divorce proceedings.

Corey Feldman is left to face another difficult period as he mourns the passing of his bandmate.

The former child star shared the heartbreaking news with his followers on Instagram, posting pictures and a video clip of Gadd performing on stage alongside a deeply felt tribute to his bandmate. Feldman's message revealed the tragic circumstances surrounding Gadd's passing.  

"IT'S WITH TREMENDOUS SADNESS I MUST RELAY THE NEWS THAT OUR DRUMMER FROM THE #LOVERETOURS23 TOURS HAS PASSED AWAY @ A VERY YOUNG AGE!" Feldman wrote, explaining that Gadd, also known as @melomaniac_graffiti, died in Las Vegas from a fentanyl overdose.  

He described Gadd as exceptionally talented and kind-hearted, lamenting that his life was cut short by his personal struggles. Feldman expressed his profound sadness at losing another friend to the devastating effects of drug addiction, particularly highlighting the escalating fentanyl crisis.  

"MY HEART HURTS LOSING ANOTHER FRIEND 2 THE THROWS OF DRUG ADDICTION & THE INSANE FENTANYL CRISIS THAT'S TAKEN OVER OUR COUNTRY!" he shared.  

He extended his deepest sympathies to Gadd's family and friends, concluding his post with a heartfelt "#RIPDUKEGADD."  

Feldman's Instagram post announcing Gadd's death became a virtual space for mourning, with heartfelt messages from fans expressing their sorrow. One fan recounted a personal experience of seeing Gadd perform, writing:

"So sorry Corey. We went to see you in Morristown NJ and we got to see him perform with you. What a great drummer and very energetic person. Again, very sorry." Another simply offered their condolences, writing, "corey my condolences, my brother."

The outpouring of sympathy extended to many sending their love to Gadd's family and friends. "Sorry for your loss. Sending hugs to all his family and friends," one comment read.

Several others reminisced about Gadd's incredible drumming skills, expressing gratitude for having witnessed his talent firsthand.  "Oh man this is SO sad. I'm glad I got to see you guys play together. He had some SERIOUS drumming skills. Prayers and hugs go out to all you guys and his family," one fan shared.

Some short messages spoke volumes, with simple phrases like "That's awful!" and "Very sad news." 

Feldman's drummer's death has brought the actor's past struggles back into focus, reminding many of his own journey through addiction. Feldman's rise to fame as a young actor masked a dark reality, one that he bravely revealed in his 2013 memoir, "Coreyography."  

As PEOPLE reported, his memoir detailed years of abuse at the hands of his mother and molestation by figures within the entertainment industry. These traumatic experiences fueled a descent into drug addiction and a highly publicized breakdown, which impacted his career.

Despite these immense challenges, Feldman demonstrated remarkable resilience. The PEOPLE's 2016 article revealed that he had achieved over two decades of sobriety at that point.  

This personal milestone coincided with his 45th birthday and the release of his double album, "Angelic 2 the Core," a project that had been in development for more than ten years.  

Although he might be grappling with the loss of his drummer, he is simultaneously dealing with ongoing divorce proceedings and related financial disagreements.  

As of December of last year, The Blast highlighted that Feldman took steps to address the financial aspects of his divorce. He reportedly submitted comprehensive financial documentation to his estranged wife, Courtney Feldman, to dispel rumors about his income.  

This action was intended to counter his former spouse's claims that he earns over $280,000 monthly.  Feldman also informed the court that he had fully disclosed his assets and liabilities for her review, directly challenging her initial assertions.

The submission followed a court order mandating Feldman to pay his ex-wife $3,500 monthly in temporary spousal support.  Courtney had initially requested $5,000 per month, citing her unemployment and lack of transportation.   

Feldman pushed back against Courtney's spousal support petition, arguing that her demands were excessive and unrealistic given his actual financial circumstances.  

The 53-year-old provided a detailed breakdown of his income and expenses, stating that his monthly income is a modest $2,536, a stark contrast to the $280,000 figure cited by Courtney.

Furthermore, Feldman disclosed that his total savings in the bank amount to $34,000 and no assets. He noted that his monthly expenses totaled $16,799.

These expenses include $5,000 for healthcare, $2,000 each for groceries and takeout, $1,000 for laundry services, $1,500 for car expenses, $225 for charitable donations, $835 for entertainment, and $500 for clothing.

Feldman also acknowledged his ongoing debt obligations, including IRS and Capital One payments.  He stated that he made a $439 payment towards credit card debt in October and another $1,600 payment in November.
