A$AP Rocky is choosing to opt out of the witness dock amid his ongoing court case for reasons best known to him.

The rapper was spotted sitting outside the stand during court proceedings, showing that he would not be testifying in his shooting trial involving his childhood friend A$AP Relli.

A$AP Rocky allegedly fired a gun at A$AP Relli during an argument back in 2021 in Los Angeles, leading to injuries.

The rapper confirmed his intentions to stay tight-lipped in the case on Tuesday when he waived his right to testify before a court. The presiding judge also asked his attorney Joe Tacopina if they had come to a conclusion after a series of back and forth over it earlier this week.

The judge pressed the artist if he was aware of what was at stake following his decision to step aside from giving any testimony. The rapper was reportedly confident in his response, echoing, "I do, in fact."

Since the case began, TMZ noted that every day has witnessed development, including a scenario of Rocky telling his friend A$AP Twelvy not to respond when he was asked to explain what the AWGE brand name meant.

The legal exchange reached a peak last Wednesday when jurors discovered new sets of screenshots of a heated interaction over the phone between Rocky and his friend.

The Blast reported that the contents of the conversation showed Relli claiming Rocky framed him and fired a weapon at him during a Hollywood meeting.

Tacopina reiterated his client's innocence and accused the plaintiff of fabricating lies for monetary purposes. The "Sundress" rapper immediately trashed Relli’s allegations in the text message, stating, "I tried to do what?? ... Stop making sh-it up Rell."

He accused Relli of trying to milk money off him, just the same way Tacopina painted the situation in court. Rocky wrote:

Relli Disclaimed Snitch Tag After Sharing His Testimony In Court

Relli's decision to tell his own side of the story was met with tangible displeasure from spectators and followers of the case, who described him as an unreliable friend.

He was confronted by a cameraman outside the courtroom who asked him for his thoughts on people calling him a "snitch" for his actions.

Relli instantly defended his actions, asking the cameraman what they would have done differently if he were in his shoes. In his words: "Would you be a snitch if somebody shot at you?"

The paparazzo then replied, citing experience of being shot at and still battling with the bullets retained in his body.

The release led to the bullets grazing his knuckles, but Relli remained defiant even in the face of great harm. He noted that he was "willing to die for my respect. If this is what you want to do, I still have my dignity."

Of course, the artist is not going through his difficult time alone. His lover and baby mama were fully on the ground to offer much-needed moral support. Rihanna reportedly chose to sit with his family right in the front row at the downtown Los Angeles courthouse.

The business owner's entry was planned to be as discreet as possible, and she achieved her mission while keeping things stylish in a black coat paired with shades.

The mother-of-two's presence in court has also divided her camp, with the majority encouraging her to keep away from the case in order to protect her reputation.

Will things work out for A$AP Rocky as the case proceeds? Time will tell!
