'Mormon Wives' Star Jen Affleck Has Been Carrying Around A Secret; 'It Was A Surprise'

For months, many fans of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" have speculated that Jen Affleck might be struggling with her marriage to husband Zac Affleck. Some even suggested they were going through a divorce and that's why she's been MIA online for a while. But this couldn't be further from the truth based on the secret she just spilled!

Jen Affleck recently made a surprise announcement, and fans are shocked.  Even Affleck herself said, "it was a surprise."

Anyone who's been keeping with the MomTok moms on social media knows that Affleck hasn't been as active as she once was. Some speculated that she's not involved in the Hulu reality show any longer, and others felt she was going through a divorce and not quite ready to go public with it.

But now that she's dropped a big secret, the plot thickens. Her news has fans taking to social media to talk amongst themselves about the tea she spilled.

On Tuesday morning, Affleck revealed via PEOPLE that her and Zac are expecting their third baby together!

Fans appear to be completely shocked and blindsided by the big news, and according to Affleck, it was a "surprise" to her as well.

"I was a few days late, and while it was a surprise, we both had a feeling there was another baby waiting for us," she told PEOPLE. "We were very excited, there were a lot of emotions after a very crazy year!"

The new baby will join the couple's two children - son Lucas, 19 months, and daughter Nora, 3.

"Nora has been hoping for a little sister, and I can tell she really wants it to be a girl," she said. "I have a strong feeling it's a girl. I've dreamed about this little girl for a while now, and I truly believe she's the one I'm carrying."

Affleck revealed that they will be waiting until birth to find out the sex of their new addition.

This pregnancy has been "quite a journey" according to Affleck, who told PEOPLE that, "the first trimester was really challenging mentally and physically."

"I experienced all the symptoms - nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and mood swings," she said. "It's definitely been chaotic, no doubt about it."

Having two babies so close in age can be challenging for any mom, and Affleck shared that this is a "whole new level."

"I thought having two kids back-to-back was tough, but this has taken things to a whole new level. With the stress of work, motherhood, and the challenges that come with pregnancy, it's been a lot," she shared. "On top of that, I had some strong cravings and aversions - all I wanted was pho and limes with salt."

Affleck, who's been vocal about the fact that season 1 of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" was tough on her marriage, reiterated that to PEOPLE.

"Season 1 took a toll, not only on my marriage but also on my mental health. There were many dark days. There's so much more to our story than people realize," she said. "While I'm not sharing all the details online, it's been essential for our relationship and mental health to keep our journey private until we're ready to talk about it."

Not long after the news broke of Affleck's pregnancy, many fans took to social media to share their unfiltered thoughts, which is nothing new when it comes to Affleck's online drama.

Stephanie Tleiji, who's known on TikTok for sharing pop culture news and tons of "Mormon Wives" drama, quickly created a video about Affleck's big reveal. It didn't take long after that video went live for her to film another one all about what fans are saying, and most of it isn't good.

"Can we talk about the comments on PEOPLE's post about Jen Affleck being preggers? Jen Affleck thought season one was hard. I hope she does not read the comment section," Tleiji said in her second video.

She then read some comments out loud - "That wasn't what was supposed to happen," Oh, so no divorce? That's crazy," and "Oh no, never have another baby to save a toxic marriage oof," as well as many others.

The comments didn't stop there. There are currently nearly 1,000 comments on the Instagram post shared by PEOPLE and Affleck, and the majority of comments are either negative or confused.

"Babies don’t fix things…" one person wrote. Another said, "Sooo we all just supposed to forget what happened in Vegas??? n the text messages????"

And while many shared their unfiltered thoughts, some left messages filled with happiness and love.

"Jen you’re just glowing!!!!!!! I’m so excited for your family," one person wrote. Another added, "JEN CONGRATS BEAUTIFUL! So excited for you 5!" And one other viewer said, "Babies are such a miracle, always to be celebrated!"
