Jalen Hurts may earn millions from playing football, but that doesn't mean he lives like a millionaire.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback keeps it simple during the football season, opting to rent a roof over his head instead of owning a home close to his team. He has kept this tradition alive since he got drafted in 2020.

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles emerged triumphant at the Super Bowl on Sunday, beating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at New Orleans' Caesars Superdome. His victory comes days after fans supported his reaction to President Donald Trump's appearance at the games.

According to reports, Hurts has always rented a $2,000-a-month apartment during the season since he got drafted into the Eagles in 2020. He confirmed the news in a 2021 interview, revealing he preferred renting to owning a property close to his team.

"I didn't buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me. I didn't need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment. You know, something smooth that'll last me for the time being," Hurts explained.

The athlete's original four-year contract was worth over $6 million, but renting a Cherry Hill apartment, a 20-minute drive from downtown Philly, fitted his simple lifestyle. Page Six shared that Hurts' preferences did not change despite scoring a $255 million deal with the Eagles in 2023.

While Hurts enjoyed renting during the football season, he had no qualms about splurging on a home for the off-season. He sweetly launched his real estate portfolio by purchasing each of his parents' homes in his hometown of Humble, Texas.

In 2023, Hurts bought his first property in his name by spending $6 million on a 6,000-square-foot home. The luxurious residence was reportedly 5 miles from his childhood home, featuring six beds, six baths, and a large swimming pool.

Additionally, Hurts purchased the house next door for $2.68 million, but it was unclear if he did so to secure his privacy or if he planned on expanding his home.

However, he might need a bigger trophy case following his team's Super Bowl victory, which earned him the MVP award for completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards.

The Quarterback Gives Favorable Response To Donald Trump's Super Bowl Appearance

Days earlier, The Blast shared that NFL fans had compared Hurts' reaction to Trump's Super Bowl appearance to that of Kansas City Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. Many applauded his response to the president's presence at the games while slamming the others.

Hurts answered several questions about the event during the Super Bowl LIX media day. When asked how he felt about Trump attending the match, the athlete declared: "He's welcome to do what he wants."

The quarterback doubled down on being unbothered by the president, confirming he felt no pressure having the POTUS there. His stance differed from Kelce and Mahomes, who celebrated having Trump watch their match.

Fans Applaud Jalen Hurts' Reaction While Shaming Taylor Swift's Boyfriend

As stated, fans compared the trio's reaction to Trump's appearance at the game, with many bashing Kelce. They could not understand how he could feel honored to be in the presence of the man who had insulted his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. One social media user wrote:

"Ew. I hate the way Travis Kelce answered that Trump question. After he publicly shamed your girlfriend? BYE. Jalen Hurts me PLEASE."

Another echoed similar sentiments, noting Kelce should have answered like Hurts. Others joined thr criticism train, arguing that the Chiefs player's response proved he did not care about Trump's past comments about his girlfriend. "He's a narcissist. So, I'm not surprised," a disappointed fan alleged.

While NFL fans believed Kelce should have reacted like Hurts to prove his love to Swift, a source claimed the "Cruel Summer" singer understood her beau's thoughts.

"Taylor is not angry at Travis for what he said. Although Travis's quote was taken as he supports Trump, this is not what Travis said at all," the insider explained. They argued that Kelce's words did not support the president, noting:

"He never actually even said the word Trump. Travis was speaking on behalf of his entire team and all of his fans when he said it is an honor to have the President of the United States at the game, and he would have said the same thing regardless of who the president was."

The drama between Trump and Swift began last year after AI-generated images of the singer were used to endorse the president's campaign. The entertainer responded by supporting Kamala Harris, but the POTUS did not handle the rejection well and ranted about hating the Popstar.

Like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts is also in a happy relationship with his fiancée, Bryonna "Bry" Burrows.
