Tom Brady's Live Super Bowl Dig At Kevin Hart Turns Heads

Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady playfully took a jab at comedian Kevin Hart during the live 2025 Super Bowl broadcast Sunday, months after being ruthlessly roasted by Hart at his record-breaking Netflix special.

Making his highly anticipated debut as a Super Bowl broadcaster for Fox, Tom Brady quickly became the center of attention for multiple reasons.

Revenge is a dish best served at the Super Bowl.

As the Kansas City Chiefs battled the Philadelphia Eagles, Brady turned to his Fox Sports co-commentator Kevin Burkhardt and asked, “Kevin Hart’s here?”

“How do the cameras find Kevin Hart?” he continued, poking fun at the comedian’s 5-foot-5 stature.

Burkhardt, laughing, replied, “Well, it depends on the day, I guess.”

Brady, making it clear his remark was all in good fun, followed up with, “Kevin, I love you. You took so many shots at me in May. I’m coming right back at you.”

Brady’s response comes after Hart relentlessly mocked him during "The Roast of Tom Brady" in May 2024. The comedian took aim at the NFL legend’s divorce from Gisele Bündchen, even making jokes about her rumored relationship with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

“You sometimes got to f-ck your coach. You know who else f-cked their coach? Gisele. She f-cked that karate man,” Hart quipped during the roast.

He didn’t stop there, adding, “I mean Jesus Christ, Tom. One of the smartest quarterbacks ever played the game. How did you not see this coming? Eight f-cking karate classes a day.”

Brady later admitted he regretted participating in the roast due to its impact on his three children.

Speaking on "The Pivot" podcast, he revealed, “The bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize, ‘I wouldn’t do that again,’ because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.”

"You just don't see the full picture all the time," he said. "So I think it's a good lesson for me as a parent. I'm going to be a better parent as I go forward because of it, and at the same time, I'm happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun."

Hart, for his part, acknowledged Brady’s desire to protect his family and seemed to understand his feelings on the matter.

“The idea of going all in and just saying, ‘I don’t care, because I know the world would love to see me being on the receiving end of sh-t,’ … I think it was that,” he explained to Bleacher Report in July 2024 of Brady's attitude afterward. “But what it did for comedy and our climate of sensitivity, I think was necessary and valuable.”

Hart said that he can “see where [Brady’s] coming from” considering the current social climate “and just him wanting to protect, the idea of family and the conversation attached to that.”

“... I know his response and saying something about it was a result of possibly that," guessed Hart. "But that [special] made people comfortable with a joke being a joke."

The comedian has yet to respond publicly to Brady’s latest jab, but given his Philadelphia roots, he was likely too busy celebrating the Eagles’ dominant victory over the Chiefs at Super Bowl 2025.  Hart was spotted watching the game from a suite earlier in the day, soaking in the big win.

Following the game, Hart took to social media to share an Instagram video, where the comedian said, "Birds got another Bowl baby and guess what we do out of Bowls we eat out of them."

"You can't be a little dog to eat out of a big dog's Bowl, you gotta be a big dog - big dog gotta eat", he added before making several bark noises.
