Chef Carl Ruiz was remembered during one of his memorable moments on Food Network while his fellow chefs continue to pay tribute to the culinary star.

Food Network aired a special episode of "Guy's Grocery Games" on Wednesday night, featuring Ruiz racing down the aisles and whipping up some of his famous Cuban dishes.

A statement from the network read:

"Tonight's episode of Guy's Grocery Games is in loving memory of Carl Ruiz. Carl was a great friend and colleague who made Flavortown a better place. His friendship, humor and amazing cooking will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him."

Chef Rocco DiSpirito, who has one the championship on "GGG," commented that the episode was a "Nice tribute."

Food Network regular, Scott Conant, wrote that, "Carl is already missed."

Chef Eric Greenspan wrote an emotional message while watching the episode:

"Tonight will be filled likely with laughs and tears. Its all still surreal and tonight will be no different. But any chance to bask in [Ruiz's] presence is a chance worth taking. "

As we reported, Guy Fieri released a heartbreaking statement about Ruiz after the popular chef unexpectedly died over the weekend while on a trip to Maryland.

""Over the years, I’ve met a lot of great people but a friend like Carl is one in a hundred million. Carl ’The Cuban’ Ruiz will forever live on in my heart and in those of all who loved him," Fieri wrote on social media.
