National Football League fans are praising Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts after he gave a straightforward answer regarding his thoughts about President Donald Trump attending Super Bowl LIX in February 2025.
The support for the young baller came after another clip of Kansas City Chiefs players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes gushing about the 47th president's attendance at the big game went viral online.
On social media, football fans are comparing Jalen Hurts to Travis Kelce after pointing out the difference in both of their replies. Netizens are also finding issues with Kelce's comments after Trump bashed his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, in previous social media posts.

During the Super Bowl LIX media day, Hurts answered several questions about the big weekend, including one asking how he felt about Trump attending the upcoming game.
"He's welcome to do what he wants," Hurts, who's making his second Super Bowl appearance on February 9, 2025, said to reporters.
The Philly star athlete also kept it brief when asked if he felt any added pressure knowing that members of the Trump administration were headed to New Orleans to watch him on the field.
"No, ma'am," he stated.
Hurts' comments were vastly different than those of his opponents, specifically Kelce and Mahomes, both of whom shared their excitement about playing in front of Trump with members of the media.
"It's awesome," Kelce said. "It's a great honor. No matter who the president is, I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life. And having the president there, you know, it's the best country in the world. So, that'd be pretty cool."
Mahomes agreed, saying it's "always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president."
Fans Compare Kelce To Jalen Hurts
First, Travis should’ve answered like Jalen Hurts who said, “The president can do what he wants.” That shows respect towards the POTUS with political neutrality.
Second, his answer shows he doesn’t care about how Trump attacked Taylor. But he’s a narcissist so I’m not surprised. https://t.co/HtsJu9f0aS

After clips of all three football players sharing their thoughts about the sitting president attending the biggest game of their season made their way around the internet, fans also chimed in, sharing how they felt about the entire situation.
Throughout many of the replies, netizens compared the statements to each other, praising Hurts for staying neutral while bashing Kelce for "glazing" Trump.
"Ew. I hate the way Travis Kelce answered that Trump question," one user wrote. "After he publicly shamed your girlfriend? BYE. Jalen Hurts me PLEASE."
Another user clearly agreed, saying Kelce "should've answered like Jalen Hurts." They went on to blast Kelce for showing "he doesn't care about how Trump attacked [his girlfriend.]"
"But he's a narcissist. So, I'm not surprised," they finished.
Trump Slammed Swift After Endorsing Kamala Harris
For those who may be unfamiliar with the beef between President Trump and Swift, it all began during the 2024 presidential election.
After noticing AI-generated images of her seemingly endorsing Trump online, the "Cruel Summer" singer made her political affiliation clear with a public endorsement of Trump's opponent, Kamala Harris.
Later, Trump replied to Swift's lengthy Instagram post, telling his social media followers how much he "hates" the pop star.
His post confused many, considering the former "Apprentice" star had expressed his admiration for Swift, calling her "very talented" before acknowledging the two likely had different political opinions.
"I think she's beautiful. Very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she's liberal. She probably doesn't like [me]," Trump said.
Swift Not Upset With Kelce
Despite Trump's harsh remarks about Swift on social media, the 14-time Grammy winner apparently isn't phased by Kelce's joy about playing in front of him.
"Taylor is not angry at Travis for what he said," a source told the DailyMail. "Although Travis’s quote was taken as he supports Trump, this is not what Travis said at all."
According to the source, Kelce meant his comments in the same manner as Mahomes.
"He never actually even said the word Trump. Travis was speaking on behalf of his entire team and all of his fans when he said it is an honor to have the President of the United States at the game, and he would have said the same thing regardless of who the president was," they revealed.
Swift Doesn't Want To Make A Scene At The Super Bowl
Since Swift and Kelce's relationship became a talking point for the NFL, there isn't a game at Arrowhead Stadium where the blonde bombshell doesn't turn heads.
However, according to sources, Swift doesn't want any attention paid to her during this year's big game between the Eagles and Chiefs.
Since the Chiefs have a strong chance at creating NFL history by becoming the first time to win three Super Bowl championships in a row, Swift wants to stay out of the way so that Kelce can focus on the task at hand.
"She wants Travis to enjoy his Super Bowl week experience and be at 110% for Sunday, as she is dreaming about him making Super Bowl history and reaching another dream of his, winning another Super Bowl and making a three-peat," a source shared.
