After a five-year hiatus, the iconic VooDoo Lounge at Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has reopened, bringing back its legendary rooftop views, vibrant nightlife, and signature cocktails that visitors and locals alike love.
Located off the Strip, and perched high in the sky, the revived venue promises an electrifying atmosphere with live DJs, craft drinks, and an elevated party experience. The reopening marks a new chapter for the Rio, blending nostalgia with modern upgrades to recapture the magic of this beloved hotspot.
Whether it's a night out on the town or a special celebration, VooDoo Lounge is once again casting its spell over Las Vegas and promising a memorable experience.

Perched atop the off-Strip hotel and casino, VooDoo Lounge is shining bright once again!
The Lounge is located just above popular restaurant, VooDoo Steak, on the 51st floor of the resort. With impressive panoramic views of the Strip, a new cocktail program, and live entertainment, fans are happy the ultra-lounge is back in action.
"Talking to the leadership team, we got to a point where we're like we can't wait to get it online again. VooDoo Steak has already been operational on the weekends," Gina Romero, Director of Beverage at Rio Hotel & Casino, exclusively told The Blast.
"What's really cool about the lounge is the amazing view that you have of the Strip. We couldn't pass this up, and I think the timing was kind of perfect in a way. We brought it online right around Rio's 35th anniversary."
The Cocktail Program Was A Big Focus Before Reopening VooDoo Lounge

When the decision came about to reopen VooDoo Lounge, revamping the cocktail program was a topic of discussion.
"Our biggest focus was the beverage program. There's a little bit of nostalgia in the place, like the carpet is still there, the views are almost the same, but better," Romero said. "There are classic cocktails that we just did a little bit of a VooDoo spin on it with the ingredients and then tying into the name."
Some of the most popular drinks include the Devil's Margarita, a sinful twist on the classic margarita, Espresso Enchantment, VooDoo Lounge's take on the classis espresso martini made with Nutella and coconut cream, and Juju Jungle Punch, to name a few.
Juju Jungle Punch is served in a punch bowl that's about 45 ounces and meant to be a shareable cocktail.
"There's something for everyone," Romero shared. "So, whether you're a tequila drinker, or a vodka drinker, or you have your go-to cocktail like a margarita or a Paloma or Cosmopolitan, we've got a little bit of something for everyone out there."
VooDoo Lounge Offers More Than Cocktails And Views

In addition to the amazing ambiance, delicious cocktails, and picture-perfect views, VooDoo Lounge also offers live entertainment.
"Right now, we're starting off with a DJ," Romero told The Blast. "We've had some special events. New Year's Eve we threw a party up there and had a live band and a DJ. I think there's a lot of opportunity. Time will tell what the lounge becomes in the future."
Open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. currently, they are actually in the process of expanding the hours to open at 9 p.m. and hope to eventually move into a four-day operation.

VooDoo Steak, located one floor below VooDoo Lounge, has been open on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner service for a while now. Guests are able to check out the picture-perfect views while waiting for their table or after they enjoy their meal.
"The patio is obviously a great place for people to go and capture photos pre-dinner or post-dinner. They're certainly allowed and encouraged to hang out as long as they want, grab an additional drink, etc," Andrew Kerzmann, Vice President of Hospitality for the Rio told The Blast a few months ago.
"VooDoo View, the 51st floor, the lounge, that area is one area we are looking forward to reintroducing in some fashion here in the short-term window as a nightlife opportunity for our guests so they can dine at VooDoo Steak or anywhere on property and then have a night venue to go to."
And now that VooDoo Lounge has reopened, guests can experience both the steakhouse for dinner and the lounge for drinks and entertainment.

What's old is new again! Rio Hotel & Casino has been undergoing a significant renovation since 2023. Dreamscape Companies took over the 34-year-old resort from Caesars Entertainment in late 2023 and has been actively making changes throughout the resort.
Many rooms have been revamped, new entertainment was added to the lineup, and a new food and beverage program was created, including the Canteen Food Hall that offers six unique, different types of food options.
The Wine Cellar, located on the main floor of the resort, also reopened, and offers a complete wine tasting experience.
