Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, are reportedly experiencing "severe anguish" due to the ongoing lawsuit with her "It Ends With Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

The actress accused Baldoni of sexual harassment in a lawsuit she filed in December, after which he hit back at her with a $400 million countersuit where he accused her and her husband of defamation and extortion.

The full-blown legal war between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has allegedly caused the actress and her husband, Reynolds, "severe anguish."

According to TMZ, a source revealed that Lively is "emotionally zapped" due to the ongoing spate of lawsuits with Baldoni and that the case has taken a "deep emotional toll" on her and Reynolds.

The news outlet reports that the "Gossip Girl" star remains confident that she'll emerge victorious and is striving "to get this all buttoned up," as she believes the whole case is a "sideshow" concocted by Baldoni and his legal team.

The former co-stars have been taking legal digs at each other after Lively accused him of sexually harassing her while filming the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel.

Meanwhile, Baldoni has launched a website where he seemingly details "his side" of the story by sharing text messages and videos related to him and Lively as they continue to fight in court.

Hoping to offer transparency to the public, Baldoni furnished the website with a timeline of relevant events related to the case and an amended complaint against her.

His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, told the Daily Mail that he amended his lawsuit due "to the overwhelming amount of new proof that has come to light."

"This fresh evidence corroborates what we knew all along, that due to purely egotistical reasons Ms. Lively and her entire team colluded for months to destroy reputations through a complex web of lies, false accusations and the manipulation of illicitly received communications," Freedman continued.

He added, "The ongoing public interest in this case online has ironically shed light on the undeniable facts pertaining to The New York Times and how heavily Ms. Lively and her representatives were not only deeply involved in the attempted takedown and smear campaign of Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and their teams but that they themselves initiated it."

Tempers were flying in court when Lively and Baldoni's lawyers battled it out at an 11 am pre-trial on Monday, where they attacked each other head-on.

The "Savages" actress had requested Judge Lewis Liman place a gag order on Baldoni's lawyer, Freedman, for seemingly making false statements about their hotly contested case.

However, Judge Liman disagreed with her and instead ruled that he would adopt a rule for lawyers known as Rule 3.6. This rule bars both parties from making extrajudicial statements that could influence the jury.

After the court session, Lively reportedly considered the ruling a win. Her attorneys said they "are pleased with the result of today's hearing and eager to move forward immediately with discovery in this case."

"The Court granted our request that all attorneys in the matter actually follow the rule of law and not make any statements that could prejudice a jury. This case deals with serious allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation," they noted, adding that they intended to "hold the defendants accountable" and "are confident that once all the evidence is submitted in this matter, Ms. Lively will prevail."

According to the Daily Mail, sources close to Baldoni shared that he has a different view of Judge Liman's ruling.

"The judge did not rule in Ms. Lively's favor, what they had asked of the court was a gag order, for Blake not to be deposed by Bryan and for the entire case to be dismissed against them - none of that happened," the source said. "Therefore, the court did not rule in her favor."

They added, "Private individuals have suffered hugely due to celebrity Ms. Lively's vastly untrue claims, and they too, are looking forward to their day in court to show the truth."

During the pre-trial conference, Baldoni's lawyer, Freedman, revealed that the actor suffered financial losses ever since Lively filed a sexual harassment suit against him.

Freedman told the judge, Liman, that Baldoni is "financially devastated," adding that the actor's "It Ends With Us" producers, Jamey Heath and Steve Sarowitz, and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel have also suffered similar losses.

He also claimed that they have all been "emotionally" affected by Lively's suit, which was filed while promotion for the film was still ongoing.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he explained that Lively's accusation has caused a huge stain on Baldoni's reputation due to the nature of the claims.

According to People Magazine, he told the court, "Not to sound like a 4-year-old fighting a 4-year-old with 'they started it,' but in these kinds of cases, once someone says something, it becomes fact: There's no way to fight against it."
