Travis Kelce Gushes Over Taylor Swift’s Cooking, Reveals His Favorite Dish

Taylor Swift isn’t just dominating the music charts; she’s also making waves in the kitchen, and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, can't get enough of the pop star's cooking.

The 34-year-old Grammy-winning artist has been showcasing her culinary talents, and her homemade dishes have gained widespread attention, particularly among her inner circle.

Her skills in the kitchen recently became a topic of conversation when Swift baked homemade Pop-Tarts for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates last year.

The unexpected treat quickly caught the attention of the actual Pop-Tarts brand, which took to Instagram in March 2024 with a playful challenge.

“To KC’s most famous fan, we heard there’s a Pop-Tarts pastry (Your Version), and in its honor, we’re donating to @harvesters, a local Feeding America partner food bank,” the company wrote in its post. “But if you #releasetherecipe, we’ll double our donation.”

At the Super Bowl's opening night event in New Orleans on Monday, February 3, the star tight end playfully sidestepped questions about a potential proposal during the halftime show. "Wouldn’t you like to know?" he teased.

While the potential proposal dominated headlines, Kelce also shared sweet details about his relationship with Swift during the press conference. When asked about his favorite dish she makes, he revealed that she’s quite the cook.

"Oh, she's quite the cook," the NFL tight end said. "I'm a breakfast guy, man. I would say her homemade Pop-Tarts are unbelievable."

Beyond her skills in the kitchen, Kelce also gushed about Swift’s work ethic and dedication.

"I better hold up my end of the bargain," he said. "She's up there being the superstar that she is, never taking no for an answer, and always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure."

Swift, who has long enjoyed cooking, previously revealed some of her go-to recipes in a 2019 essay for Elle magazine.

“I’ve always cooked a LOT, but I found three recipes I know I’ll be making at dinner parties for life,” she shared. Among her favorites are Ina Garten’s Real Meatballs and Spaghetti (for which she uses packaged bread crumbs and only ground beef), Nigella Lawson’s Mughlai Chicken, and Jamie Oliver’s Chicken Fajitas with Molé Sauce.

She even noted a small but significant kitchen hack. “Getting a garlic crusher is a whole game changer," Swift revealed.

During an episode of "NFL by NBC" last year, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed that the "Midnights" singer surprised the team with a sweet treat during the season. According to Reid, the pop star prepared homemade Pop-Tarts for the offensive linemen, an unexpected but well-received gesture as she integrated into the Chiefs' inner circle while supporting her boyfriend.

“Kind of behind-the-scenes, she, to fit in—she didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think—she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen homemade Pop-Tarts,” Reid shared.

Hosts Mike Florio and Chris Simms reacted with excitement over Swift’s thoughtful gesture, joking that she “knew right where to go” by winning over the team’s biggest players.

However, despite leading the Chiefs to multiple Super Bowl victories, Reid admitted he never got to try one of Swift’s pastries himself. “She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one!” he joked.

While it remains to be seen if Swift will share her Pop-Tart secrets, it’s clear she’s already won over the Chiefs’ locker room one homemade pastry at a time.
