Beyond her success in modeling, Simmons is a creative powerhouse. She has collaborated with brands like Wildflower Cases and plays a key role in reviving Baby Phat alongside her mother and younger sister, Aoki. But what sets her apart is her passion for being involved in the creative process.

β€œI really love when a brand that I am working with allows me to express myself,” Simmons shared with SI Swimsuit. Her approach to fashion and modeling is deeply personal, making her presence in the industry all the more impactful.

Embracing Body Positivity

Simmons has also emerged as an advocate for body positivity, openly discussing the struggles she has faced with self-image. She has dealt with severe PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and endometriosis, both of which have caused significant changes in her body over the years.

β€œOver the past couple of years, I have struggled with severe PCOS and endometriosis. My weight has fluctuated quite a bit, and I’ve had to deal with severe acne,” she revealed. At 22, she underwent surgery for her endometriosis, which left scars on her hipsβ€”something she once felt self-conscious about.

Learning To Love Her Scars

In addition to her health battles, Simmons also underwent spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis at 15. Though she once hesitated to show her scars, she has since come to embrace them as a part of her story.

β€œI never thought that I would be doing something like an SI Swim shoot because I never wanted to show [my scars],” she admitted. β€œBut now, they’ve become one of my favorite parts about my body.”

Her powerful message of self-acceptance resonates deeply, making her SI Swimsuit debut even more meaningful.
