Although Cartwright was not an original "VPR" cast member, she was an integral part of the series for many seasons.

For fans who might not be familiar with the show, Lisa Vanderpump and her group of rowdy reality stars welcomed Cartwright, also known as Jax Taylor's girlfriend, on the show as a guest during Season 4.

She also appeared in a limited capacity the next season before becoming a full-time cast member during Season 6.

Throughout her years in front of the camera, she experienced her fair share of drama, including relationship scandals, friendship breakups, and more.

In 2020, Cartwright departed the series and hasn't been involved with it since. However, when she learned that Bravo fired the entire cast after Season 11 to start fresh, she couldn't help but share her feelings.

“I don’t know if I was shocked at first or if I was just like, I think it’s going to be hard for them to fill their shoes because the OGs — even before me — are so bright and were so amazing,” she told Decider.

It's not often that Bravo shows get a complete revamp. The last time this happened was with the cast of the "Real Housewives of New York City" in 2023.

Bravo's choice to axe the original cast members certainly surprised many, but Cartwright seemingly understood the reason behind the move.

“I do kind of understand because everybody’s in such a different phase of their lives,” she said. “Scheana [Shay] and Lala [Kent] are parents and just everybody — Ariana [Madix’s] out living her life being on Broadway and doing this and that. [She’s] barely in L.A. I think it does make sense to come back to the restaurant because that’s where it actually started."

Longtime "VPR" fans learned of the show's fate in November 2024. After 11 seasons, all of the show's original stars were fired to make space for new faces.

"Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR — and now TomTom — welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts, and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships, and frenemies," the show announced in a statement.

Taylor Pays Tribute To The Show

After the news became public, several of the show's cast members began sharing emotional sentiments about the move online.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Taylor expressed his gratitude that the show was able to document the many "highs" and "lows" he endured over his eight seasons at SUR.

He said the series would always "have a part of my heart," especially since it started as a "crazy group of friends working together" to survive in West Hollywood.

At the end of his post, Taylor told his fans that "Vanderpump Rules" rebranding was not the end of his reality television career. "See ya soon on MY show," he finished.

Season 2 of Taylor's new reality series, "The Valley," will air on Bravo in early 2025. It follows Taylor alongside his soon-to-be ex-wife, Cartwright, and several of their friends, like former "Pump Rules" star Kristen Doute, as they try to survive adulthood in California.

The first season of the "VPR" spin-off aired in early 2024 and became an instant hit in the Bravosphere. The second season will showcase the downfall of Cartwright and Taylor's marriage and the latter's journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Throughout the first season of "The Valley," Taylor reiterated to his friends that he and Cartwright would never divorce. However, by the end of the season, the reality star was singing a different tune.

While the second season was filming, news broke that Cartwright and Taylor were divorcing. In an interview with the show's executive producer, Cartwright revealed how "glad" she was to be separating from Taylor.

"I'm not changing my mind. I'm so happy with this decision," she said.

Cartwright also discussed Taylor's brief stint in a wellness center to work on his mental wellbeing, saying there was no change during his "30 days" away. According to her, the reality TV villain sent her several "rage texts" despite being in therapy for "seven hours a day."

Taylor's rep also addressed his stay, saying the reality star sought "in-patient treatment" and that he would discuss his marriage with the public when ready.
