Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are reportedly still together despite living their "own lives" in separate homes.
The pair were seen on a rare outing last November, more than a year after the "Girls Trip" actress disclosed that they had been separated for 7 years, beginning in 2016.
Jada Pinkett Smith also previously shared that she'll live with Will Smith again one day to "take care of him" because he's "getting old."
Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith Are Living Apart But 'Still Together'
Hollywood power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been embroiled in reports of marital woes over the years.
However, insiders have revealed they're still married and connected but now live apart.
"Call it what you want. They are living their own lives but haven't completely severed ties," a source told People Magazine.
Another shared that they're "still together" but "have had separate homes for years."
The first source went on to add that Will "is busy with film and music and doing okay"; however, he "is a bit disillusioned with Hollywood, but that could all change with some new success."
Reports have previously surfaced suggesting that Jada owns a house in Calabasas near the "I Am Legend" actor.
Jada Pinkett Smith's Unofficial Divorce From Will Smith
In 2023, while promoting her memoir "Worthy," Jada disclosed that she and Will had seemingly divorced, although they have yet to file the papers.
At the time, she told Hoda Kotb in an interview that they had been living "completely separate lives" since 2016 but hadn't officially severed ties.
"Why not just amicably divorce? Why not just do that," Kotb pressed her.
"We don't want to," Jada replied. "We love our family, and we love each other. You know, it's more of a life partnership. Now, ten years from now, who knows?"
She told Kotb: "By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."
In the blockbuster memoir, she describes the separation as a "divorce" but clarified they never filed any paperwork.
"It was not a divorce on paper. But it was a divorce," Jada wrote, per the Daily Mail.
Jada Pinkett Smith Says She'll Live With The Actor Again Because 'He's Getting Old'
Despite their current strange arrangement, Will and Jada will likely live in the same house again, as stated by the actress.
In Jada's interview with Kotb, the host asked if she and Will could bury the hatchet and reach a "full reconciliation."
Jada responded, "You know, he's getting old. You know what I'm saying he is getting old who going to be there for him, Hoda it's going to be me. It's going to be me. I will be there."
The 53-year-old actress disclosed that she'd actually considered getting a legal divorce but couldn't bring herself to do it because she made a "promise" to her husband that she would never give him a "reason" to get divorced.
"I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through... whatever," Jada said. "We will work through whatever and I just haven't been able to break that promise."
Will Smith Says Jada Pinkett Smith Is His 'Ride or Die'
Even after Will's separation from Jada, the actor still considers the "Red Table Talk" host his "ride-or-die."
Last year, at a screening of his new film, "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," Will was asked by Entertainment Tonight to mention the names of the people in his life who would always be his "ride-or-die."
In response, the "Men In Black" actor mentioned Jada, who's the mother of two of his kids, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith.
He said, "It's funny. I was just talking about this, I have always been blessed that there has never been a time in my life when I didn't look to the side and have a ride-or-die right there. Jada is one of the most gangsta ride-or-dies I've ever had."
However, Jada wasn't the only name Will mentioned as one of his "ride-or-dies" in life. The "Pursuit of Happyness" star also mentioned his longtime friend DJ Jazzy Jeff and his "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" co-star, Alfonso Ribeiro, as two other people he can always count on.
The Actor 'Still Hates' Chris Rock For His 'Smug Attitude'
Will and Jada's marriage came under intense scrutiny after Will infamously slapped comedian Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars.
The altercation transpired after Rock made a joke about Jada's shaved head, which angered Will, prompting him to walk upstage and slap him hard on the face before warning him to "keep my wife's name out of your f-cking mouth."
The "Gemini" actor has apologized several times since then amid his 10-year ban from the prestigious award ceremony. However, sources claim Will still dislikes Rock because of his "smug attitude."
"Will's getting the last laugh and loving it," a source told InTouch Weekly, adding that Will "will never forgive Chris for ruining his life, even though he's managed to pick up the pieces in the last year."
The insider noted that the Oscar winner star "still hates the guy and his smug attitude."
