Nikki Garcia is opening up about her post-divorce life and plans for the future, including falling in love again and having more kids.
The WWE superstar, who returned to the wrestling scene after a nearly two-year hiatus, got candid about her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev in her first interview since their highly publicized split.
Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev first met as dance partners on "Dancing With The Stars" and reconnected after the professional wrestler ended her engagement to John Cena.
They welcomed a son, Matteo, and seemed to have the perfect life until August 2024, when cops arrested the dancer for domestic violence.
Nikki Garcia Shares Plans For The Future After Difficult Split From Artem Chigvintsev
Two months after Nikki and Artem settled their tumultuous divorce through mediation, the media personality addressed how far she had come since the drama surfaced. She claimed she felt "stronger" each day, noting she found more reasons to be happy.
Given her heartbreaking separation from Artem, no one would blame Nikki if she did not feel open to love. However, she confirmed that her belief in true love had not diminished despite her painful experiences. Unfortunately, the same did not apply to having more children.
"I definitely do not want more kids. I am fine," Nikki declared. She explained that being over 40 and finally feeling like she had returned to her genuine self did not make childbirth something she was interested in. She noted that being with Matteo was taxing enough, telling US Magazine:
"I'm just getting out of the toddler years, and I don't want to go back. I'm chugging cold brews to hang at the playground. I'm like, OK, it's a lot!"
A Legal Marriage Is Not An Option For The WWE Diva

While having more children wasn't a thought Nikki entertained, the idea of meeting someone new did not scare her. "I truly feel people come into your life for a reason. People come in, and they teach us things," she began, adding:
"And sometimes, when those loves don't work out, you have to look and go, 'What did I learn and what did I gain?' Because there's always beauty in it."
On that note, Nikki declared she could see herself falling in love again but noted it would take a long time to regain her confidence. As for marriage, she quickly shut down the idea, stressing that once was good enough for her.
"I don't ever want to sign paperwork again. If I find the right person, I don't mind [a commitment ceremony], but I don't want to be legally [bound]," she said.

Nikki, who rose to fame with her twin sister Brie Garcia as The Bella Twins, shared her sibling's significant role in helping her navigate a life without Chigvintsev. She confessed to living in shock following the split, especially how it played out publicly.
"I couldn't get through [it] without my therapist, without my mom [Kathy Colace], without Brie. I needed them, and I needed their love," Nikki confessed. She noted she embraced whatever form their love came in, whether through hugs or letting her cry and vent.
When asked if any of her family and friends were shocked about her divorce, Nikki revealed her twin always suspected something was up.
"Brie's been very vocal. She said that she felt like this relationship should end long before it did. She always felt we were just two different people trying to make it work," Nikki shared.
The Former Couple Put Aside Their Differences For Their Son
Nikki and Artem's love came crashing down after the domestic violence incident last year, followed by them filing restraining orders against each other. They both accused each other of physical violence but eventually dropped the charges and chose to co-parent their son.
When asked how co-parenting Matteo with Artem had been so far, Nikki shared: "What's crazy about co-parenting is you get a schedule. It's wild that one day it's like, 'OK, here are the days you get your son,' and that's just what you do."
"For me, that part is incredibly tough. I had never been in our home without him. So getting through those days is extremely difficult because I just love being around my son so much," Nikki added. She noted Matteo adjusted quickly and was unaffected by his parents' divorce.
Nikki Garcia Returned To Her Podcast Show Last December
After taking a short break from "The Nikki & Brie Show," the podcast Nikki co-hosts with her twin sister, she returned with a splash last December. The Blast shared that marked her comeback BT addressing her messy split from Artem and why she needed a social media hiatus.
"I disconnected from social media, from the world, and I just knew that I needed to disconnect because first things first, I'm a mom, and my son's protection and privacy is the most important," She explained.
"So I was gonna do whatever it took for that most importantly, and then just needing space for healing, for facing trauma head on, all of that," Nikki added. She noted she was "heartbroken" and "sad" but persevered for Matteo's happiness.
Will the love Nikki Garcia has for her son ensure she and Artem Chigvintsev maintain an amicable co-parenting bond?
