Rachael Kirkconnell has finally spilled the tea about how her 4-year relationship with Matt James ended. 

The media personality, best known as the winner of "The Bachelor" season 25, did not mince her words while recalling the emotional way her former beau broke up with her. She revealed their romance ended during their trip to Tokyo earlier this month.

Apart from breaking her heart while she was on her period and dealing with the pain of disappointing him with their dinner plans, Rachael Kirkconnell confessed Matt James released a breakup statement without her consent while she was on a 12-hour flight back home.

Kirkconnell's recent appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast has gone viral after the show dropped the episode on its YouTube channel. Tuesday's rollercoaster program captured the reality TV star telling host Alex Cooper why she was blindsided by James' decision to dump her.

"It was definitely out of nowhere. He said that at the end of the day, there were just qualities about me that he worries about having in a wife," Kirkconnell shared.

She claimed James believed she had trouble taking accountability for her mistakes despite her being the first to apologize even when she wasn't at fault.

The entertainer reflected on the breakup from James' perspective, noting he pulled the plug on the 4-year relationship after realizing he was not ready for marriage. She argued that he did not see himself married to her and even told her she wasn't his "perfect" person.

Following the end of her romance, Kirkconnell left Tokyo early, but James did not let her have a peaceful flight. He announced their separation on Instagram, a post that came in right before the media personality's plane took off.

Kirkconnell could not contact anyone about the post or respond to it as she was stuck without service throughout the 12-hour flight. Meanwhile, James implied the breakup had been amicable, writing:

"Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts. Give us peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding."

Kirkconnell eventually confirmed that his breakup announcement had caught her unawares by liking a comment about the situation. The fan's words, per PageSix, read, "The more I'm thinking about it, the more I think he completely blindsided her with this."

According to the outlet, a source agreed that the separation post had caught Kirkconnell off guard. They claimed she never knew about his intentions and "definitely wouldn't have approved of it if she did."

"She thinks it's just as weird as everyone else does. She's humiliated that's how the news came out," the source alleged. As for what sparked James' spontaneous breakup, Kirkconnell shared on the podcast that it happened after an emotional dinner date.

She explained that everything had been great between them the night before; however, she had been overwhelmed trying to find the perfect spot for dinner.

To top it off, she was on her period and feeling "terrible." Kirkconnell noted she asked James for help, but he refused, insisting their dinner location wasn't a big deal.

Kirkconnell eventually chose a spot for dinner, but when they got there, it wasn't what she expected.

"It was just one of those things where I'm tired, cranky, emotional, on my period, feeling terrible, overwhelmed with looking for a dinner spot for an hour, and we get there, and it was just a disappointment," she recalled.

"I started tearing up at dinner," Kirkconnell continued, stressing that she shed a few tears before regaining her composure. However, when she broke down, James ignored her and did not talk to her throughout their entire meal until they returned to the hotel. That was when everything fell apart.

Kirkconnell recalled trying to hug James, but he did not reciprocate. Instead, he questioned why she was upset, and she confessed that she felt terrible about disappointing him with their dinner spot.

Although the former NCAA football player assured her it wasn't a big deal, he used the moment to address his concerns about their relationship.

Kirkconnell initially addressed the end of her relationship with James after the paparazzi caught up with her outside LAX on Monday, January 27. The Blast shared that she promised them the truth about the breakup would be revealed soon.

The reality TV star also debunked the viral speculations that James' infidelity had influenced their separation. Kirkconnell confirmed he had not been unfaithful but did not share further details about the split, noting she prioritized her inner peace.

As for her plans for the future, Kirkconnell assured reporters that she would not reconcile with James. The pair once reunited after briefly calling off their romance in 2021. However, she stressed that there was no hope of history repeating itself, saying: "Definitely not. Yeah, we're out. We're done."
