The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart and his fiancée, Mari Fonseca, experienced a shocking intrusion over the weekend when a woman climbed onto their property and attempted to access their Los Angeles home.

According to law enforcement sources, the incident unfolded on Saturday morning while Drew Taggart and Mari Fonseca were upstairs in their house.

According to TMZ, they noticed an unidentified woman fearlessly hopping the gate into their front yard and approaching their front door. Alarmed, Drew quickly called 911, prompting officers to respond with lights and sirens blazing.

When police arrived, they found the woman in the yard and immediately detained her. In a bizarre twist, the woman claimed not only that she lived on the property but also that she was Drew’s wife—an assertion that came as a shock to Drew and Mari, who recently announced their engagement.

Law enforcement interviewed Drew and Mari, both of whom confirmed they had no knowledge of the woman and that she had no reason to be on their property. After further questioning the suspect, authorities determined she required a psychiatric hold.

The case is now under review by prosecutors to determine whether trespassing charges will be filed against the woman.

Taggart’s recent proposal to the Brazilian model was a star-studded affair—behind the scenes, at least. The Chainsmokers musician enlisted the help of none other than Ivanka Trump and Hailey Bieber to make the special moment unforgettable.

The romantic proposal took place at Giorgio Baldi, a Los Angeles hotspot beloved by celebrities. Fonseca, the unsuspecting bride-to-be, thought she was heading to a girls’ dinner with her friend Trump. Instead, she walked into a room filled with roses, where Taggart was waiting to pop the question.

Trump played a key role in the elaborate setup. A source revealed to Page Six, “Ivanka played the ultimate wingwoman, orchestrating the dinner and keeping its real purpose a secret.” Fonseca later confirmed the clever ruse on Instagram, writing, “The truth is [Ivanka] invited me to a girls dinner with her. But when I got there, it was my love… You guys got me so good.”

According to insiders, Bieber assisted in choosing the perfect engagement ring—a breathtaking 5-carat elongated cushion-cut diamond. “Drew asked what Marianne wanted,” the source said, “and the decision for the elongated stone came from Marianne’s good friend Hailey Bieber.”

"We were both getting a drink at the bar, and I said 'hi' to him," she told the magazine. "We started a conversation that lasted the rest of the night — and a couple of drinks later. That’s what inspired his song 'Summertime Friends' — it’s about when we met in the back of the bar."
