Jennifer Lopez wrapped up what appeared to be a packed week on a glamorous note, stepping out Friday night in Beverly Hills looking stunning in a green dress that showcased her toned legs.
Lopez, who filed for divorce two years after her marriage to Ben Affleck, recently finalized the amicable settlement earlier this month.
While Jennifer Lopez has moved on, she and Ben Affleck are still working to offload their shared Los Angeles mansion, which remains on the market for a hefty $61 million.
J. Lo Enjoys Beverly Hills Night Out as She Prepares for a New Chapter
According to sources, Lopez has been actively house hunting and may have found a potential new home in Brentwood. The property, valued at $20 million, has caught her eye despite concerns over air quality due to the recent devastating wildfires.
Reports suggest the superstar is taking no chances, having enlisted an air quality specialist to assess the area before moving forward with the purchase. While the home is currently off the market, it seems Lopez is carefully weighing her options to ensure the location meets her standards.
After her house-hunting adventures, the singer and actress was spotted heading to Novikov to celebrate her manager Benny Medina’s birthday, effortlessly combining style and sophistication as she joined the festivities.
In photos obtained by TMZ, J. Lo stunned the paparazzi in a long shimmering green dress, complete with sleek high heels. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail, allowing her glowing face to be on full display.
Ben Affleck and J. Lo Come Together Briefly Amid Pacific Palisades Blaze
J. Lo's outing comes after she and Affleck are dealing with significant disruptions to their lives caused by the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfires, which have wreaked havoc across the area.
Reports reveal that the wildfire disaster has forced Affleck and Lopez to navigate separate yet equally challenging predicaments. As The Blast previously reported, Affleck’s $20.5 million “bachelor pad” in the Pacific Palisades area, purchased following his split from Lopez in August 2024, was at risk as the flames approached. The "Good Will Hunting" star had only recently moved into the property after the end of his two-year marriage to Lopez, which she ended by filing for divorce.
TMZ captured photos of Affleck driving through the smoky streets, visibly distraught as he evacuated his residence on Tuesday evening. He reportedly sought refuge at the home of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, the mother of his three children, whose residence is located near his own.
Jennifer Lopez Looks To Rebuild Her Career
Meanwhile, Lopez faced her own wildfire-related setback.
The singer, known for hits like “Can’t Get Enough,” had a major career event canceled due to the ongoing crisis. Lopez has been working to rebuild her life and career since the couple’s high-profile breakup, which came just months after the release of her album "This Is Me… Now" and its accompanying Amazon film—both projects dedicated to their love story.
Unfortunately, the projects were not well-received, adding further strain to an already turbulent period.
Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Settle Their Divorce
The romance between Lopez and Affleck has always been the subject of intense media scrutiny.
Originally engaged in 2002, the pair’s relationship dissolved under the pressure of public attention. They reconnected nearly two decades later in 2021, three years after Affleck finalized his divorce from Jennifer Garner. Their whirlwind reunion culminated in a marriage that, while brief, captured headlines.
The divorce settlement, mediated by high-profile attorney Laura Wasser, will officially conclude on February 20. The absence of a prenup could have led to a contentious legal battle, as is often the case with celebrity divorces. However, Lopez and Affleck chose a different route, opting for a fair and amicable agreement.
According to their settlement, both parties will retain everything they individually earned during their two-year marriage. They also mutually waived rights to spousal support. Since the couple did not have children together, there were no disputes over child custody or support, simplifying the process.
Inside The Settlement
This resolution effectively acts as a retroactive prenuptial agreement, safeguarding the financial interests of both stars.
For Affleck, this means retaining his stake in Artists Equity, the successful production company he co-founded with longtime friend Matt Damon in November 2022. The company, launched just months after his marriage to Lopez, has produced hit films such as "Air," "Unstoppable," and "The Accountant 2."
Lopez, on the other hand, retains the earnings from her prolific career during their marriage. This includes her work in blockbuster projects such as "This Is Me... Now," "The Mother," "Shotgun Wedding," and "Marry Me." With this settlement, both stars walk away financially intact, free to focus on their respective futures.
