Lil Wayne is not interested in having a sit down with his former employee, who has dragged him to court for assault.
The rapper has expressed his intention to appear for the deposition at a more convenient time and manner suitable for him.
Lil Wayne's ex-assistant, Andrew Williams, named the rapper in an assault and battery lawsuit involving an incident that went down three years ago.
Lil Wayne Gives Condition For Agreeing To Deposition
The record label executive requested a judge to dismiss his ex-assistant's demand for his presence at an in-person deposition in their legal dispute. Wayne asked the judge overseeing the case to allow him to attend his deposition remotely.
He also requested not to be required to appear for the deposition until his former assistant, Andrew Williams, submits all requested documents and completes his deposition.
The rapper's attorney stated the request aimed to prevent unnecessary harassment of his client during an "in-person deposition," considering Lil Wayne's demanding professional schedule.
Wayne's lawyer pointed out that Andrew had been allowed to provide a remote deposition. He also accused his former employee of withholding certain documents, which he discovered during his recent deposition, per In Touch.

In his recent motion, Wayne asserted that Andrew's medical records indicate he has no serious injuries and has incurred no medical expenses. Wayne stated that the records indicate that his former assistant visited the doctor twice after the alleged incident.
He specified that the first visit occurred at urgent care just hours after Andrew exited the airplane. Wayne added that the records indicate the facility documented Andrew as having "no swelling" and prescribed him ibuprofen, which he reportedly chose not to take.
The musician said Andrew saw a second doctor days after hiring a lawyer, who found no signs of problems. Wayne noted that Andrew did not pay for either visit.
"[Andrew] thereafter claims to have seen a number of other health care providers, including, without limitation, a dentist and an ear, nose, and throat specialist and, within the last couple of months, a neurologist," the attorney added.
He further explained that despite Williams' alleged injury, he continued his trucking business, which he had owned since September 2023.
The attorney added that he sometimes drives over 30 hours at a time and earns about $100,000 a year in his trucking business, which is approximately twice the amount he earned while working at Wayne's company.

The former assistant stated in his lawsuit that he attempted to prevent a verbal dispute between Wayne and a pilot from intensifying. He noted that Wayne was angered by his efforts to mediate the situation and reacted by striking him in the face with a closed fist.
"The combination of a closed fist and the numerous rings and large jewelry on the hands of [Wayne] caused great harm to [Andrew]," the suit read, adding that the victim sought medical help immediately after the incident occurred.
As an actual and proximate result of [Wayne's] assault and misconduct, [Andrew] has and continues to be damaged emotionally and physically, incurred general damages and special damages including incurring medical expenses, in amounts to be proven at trial," Williams declared in the lawsuit.
Wayne rejected all claims of misconduct stated in the petition. The rapper cited self-defense in his attempt to have the case dismissed.

The artist's former employees are back for their pound of flesh. Aside from his former assistant's drama, The Blast shared that he is also dealing with another old staff member.
Wayne's former bodyguard unexpectedly changed his mind about filing charges in the gun brandishing incident that occurred in December 2021. Initially, the guard contacted law enforcement but chose not to pursue charges, only to later alter his decision.
Carlos' unexpected change of stance caught people off guard, particularly since he was the one who initially brought in law enforcement.
His allegations later included statements that Wayne hit him in the face and head. He was also said to be contemplating the possibility of pressing charges for assault.
It was noted that the discrepancies in the guard's account could undermine his case, as officials had not yet pursued any actions against Wayne.
Lil Wayne's Team Requested Permission To Take Christian Carlos In For Mental Evaluation
Following the motion Carlos filed against Wayne, where he claimed to have suffered significant emotional harm, the rapper's legal team requested that a mental evaluation be conducted on him.
A board-certified psychiatrist will carry out the evaluation. It will involve a clinical interview, a mental status examination, and administering standardized psychological tests.
The artist's legal team insisted that the mental examination is essential, seeing as Carlos "unequivocally placed his mental condition" at the center of his case by seeking damages for emotional distress.
Wayne has requested the court to impose sanctions of $4,475 on Carlos for not adhering to previous requests for a mental health evaluation.
His team has clarified that the evaluation will not involve a physical exam, emphasizing that the focus will solely be on Carlos' mental health claims.
Are the odds in Lil Wayne's favor as he simultaneously pursues two court cases? Time will tell!
