Rihanna has shared a heartfelt tribute to Lynn Ban, the renowned jewelry designer and star of Netflix’s "Bling Empire: New York," who tragically passed away at the age of 52.
Ban’s death comes just weeks after she underwent emergency brain surgery for injuries sustained in a ski accident on Christmas Eve in Aspen, Colorado. She was found unresponsive in her Tribeca home on Monday afternoon.

Ban’s passing was confirmed by her son, Sebastian, in an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday morning. He revealed that her death occurred less than a month after her surgery, sparking an outpouring of condolences from fans and celebrities alike. Her husband, Jett Kain, reportedly discovered her at approximately 1:30 p.m.

On December 30, Ban had taken to Instagram to share the news of her serious ski accident, detailing the severity of the injuries that ultimately led to her untimely death.
"Christmas Eve on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family, I had a ski accident that would change my life," the Netflix star shared with her followers. "At the top of the mountain, I caught a tip and face planted. Luckily I always wear a helmet, It didn’t seem that bad at the time, and I was able to ski to the bottom."
“Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniectomy with Jett by my side,” Ban added at the time.
