Lindsay's estranged husband came after her purse with a large financial request, which he indicated in their divorce settlement. The reality star declared he needed $16,275 in spousal support to ease his financial burden.

The TV personality eventually agreed to pay Abasolo $13,000, which was about $3,000 less than his initial request. The chiropractor also requested half of their marital home, describing it as a community asset.

He shared that his ex-wife made a substantial income from her podcasting and writing business, which meant his financial demands should not discomfort her in any way. Abasolo accused Lindsay of settling her legal fees and costs with money from their community property.

The attorney's estranged husband also claimed Lindsay refused to recognize his share in their asset, including their North Hollywood home, despite being entitled to an equal half of the property.

Abasolo claimed that the majority, if not all, of the $466,000 down payment on the family residence came from money earned during their marriage.

Abasolo explained that he found himself in a financial mess and now needed spousal support because he had to pause his career multiple times while married to the star.

He explained that he had to be out of a job for a while as he and Lindsay had to change state twice, which affected his finances as it took time for him to return to work in his new place.

The chiropractor explained that his former wife did not experience the drought as she was a successful media personality who got active income for businesses, ranging from her "Higher Learning" podcast and books "Real Love" and "Miss Me with That."

He also blamed the lack of funds as the reason why he could not move out of their shared residence. The medic requested $50,000 in attorney settlement fees and $25,000 in forensic accountant's fees.

"If you've been following me for a while, you know I don't like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family. Many of you know me as a chiropractor and husband, my proudest role so far. After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew."

The reality star admitted that his parents' love story shaped his outlook on marriage, but his reality was different when he took the leap, which made him realize he needed to love himself more.

Abasolo concluded his statement by sharing that he wanted his fans to hear the truth directly from the source before "blogs start making up their own reality." He asked the public to "respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps. Respectfully, Bryan."
