During a recent episode of "The Tonight Show," Fallon humorously commented on Melania's look at the presidential inauguration.

The wife of the newly elected president, Donald Trump, had worn a sophisticated dark overcoat that concealed her outfit. However, her wide-brimmed hat adorned with a white ribbon was the focal point of attention.

As soon as the look hit the internet, many users trolled Melania, comparing her to the McDonald's Hamburglar character. Fallon followed suit on his show, taking it a step further by wearing a similar hat as he made his way to the stage to begin his monologue.

The comedian poked fun at the First Lady, joking that after the show, he planned to play a game of "Who wore it better: me, Melania, or the Hamburglar."

"A lot of people were talking about Melania's outfit. People weren't sure if she was there for the inauguration or to kill Indiana Jones," Fallon further joked as he referenced the iconic movie character.

Similarly, many social media users poked fun at Trump, referencing an image of him attempting to kiss the First Lady on the cheek, only to be humorously thwarted by the hat's oversized design.

One X user wrote, "Trump overcame all obstacles but couldn't get past Melania's hat."

Another fellow commented, "Hahaha...NOW I know why she wore that hat. DEFENSE!! DEFENSE!! DEFENSE!!"

"Yeah, that was super awkward; she looked like she didn't want him kissing her at all," a third user remarked, adding laughing emojis.

Already, speculations have emerged that Melania's decision to move ahead with such a project, along with other recent actions, signals her intent to take a more active role during this presidential term, in contrast to her quieter approach during the first.

The mother of one also confirmed that her second run as First Lady would be markedly different during an interview with Fox News.

"I just feel that people didn't accept me, maybe," she told the outlet. "I didn't have much support. Maybe some people - they see me as just a wife of the president. But I'm standing on my own two feet. Independent."

"I know where I will be going," she added. "I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process."

Meanwhile, Melania has reportedly welcomed Elon Musk's increasing presence at Mar-a-Lago, where the billionaire has been spending significant time with the President-elect.

Sources close to the Trump family noted that Melania is unbothered by Musk's frequent visits following his appointment as co-leader of Donald's proposed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

A source told People Magazine that Melania views Musk's relationship with Donald as good.

"Melania is glad to have a babysitter for Donald, and she will find some kind of project to team up with him herself if he stays around," the source said.

"Melania has her own life and isn't bothered by political dealings her husband has with others," the insider added. "But so far, she has no issues with Musk."
