Kanye West has shown his critics that he intends to move ahead with his dream "DROAM" city slated to be constructed in the Middle East.

The rapper recently posted on his Instagram page to reveal his plans for the project, which involves a "primitive, naturalistic approach."

Kanye West's project was previously proposed for the Los Angeles community of North Beverly Park, but the area's residents called it "delusional."

Taking to Instagram, West shared a glimpse of the design plans for his "DROAM" city, initially rumored to be in development since 2023.

In the post, the rapper listed the systems of the self-sustaining project, writing that as part of its core design principles, it would have "no stairs," "no glass," "single story design," "circular layout," and "endless pathways" with no beginning and no end.

West also provided details about the project's spatial organization, materials, functionality, aesthetics, and poetic elements.

The project is also rumored to be twice the size of New York City, spanning up to 100,000 acres.

West initially envisioned the DROAM concept as part of North Beverly Park, a community in Los Angeles.

However, according to the Daily Mail, it quickly received backlash from the community's residents, with many calling the project "delusional."

Some also predicted that the rapper would be unable to get the required votes from the homeowner's association if he chose to move forward with the project.

Similarly, many social media users in the comment section of West's post slammed his plans to build "DROAM" city.

One wrote, "No way bros still building the city, while another commented, "Yeah, I'm good on that, thanks … you want us to buy sh-t architecture."

Some users were also confused about his post and showed so in their comments. A user noted, "Bro is trying to tell us something…"

Over the years, West has acquired several properties for unconventional projects, most of which never came to fruition.

One such property is the rapper's $1.5 million estate in Los Angeles, purchased with the intention of housing his Donda Academy.

Previous images of the property, obtained by the Daily Mail in 2023, showed it abandoned, with its surroundings littered with shopping carts and broken furniture.

At the time, it was also reported that the rapper had halted construction on his $14 million Wyoming ranch, acquired in 2019. The project was initially proposed to provide "affordable housing" in the Midwest state.

Similarly, West's $3 million sprawling ranch in Casablanca, which he bought with plans to address Los Angeles' homelessness crisis using 50-foot "Yecosystems," remains unfinished.

According to the Daily Mail, West spent most of late last year outside the United States, visiting countries such as the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives, Japan, and China.

Accompanying him on all these trips was his wife, Bianca Censori, who continued to make headlines with her bold and revealing public outfits.

Most recently, the pair were spotted in Tokyo alongside internet personality Justin LaBoy, visiting the Azabudai Hills development.

While West and LaBoy wore nearly identical black outfits, Censori stood out in sheer white-patterned tights and a cream-colored coat with fur trim on the collar and cuffs.

A few days earlier, West was also seen in public with his children—North, 11, Saint, 8, and Chicago, 7.

The family visited a 7/11 in the Japanese city to pick up some items while sharing a bonding moment with their father, whom they hadn't seen in over three months.

According to a report, West has remained away from the country for so long because of the ongoing controversy surrounding Sean "Diddy" Combs.

"Kanye's reasoning for not being [in America] has nothing to do with his children and has everything to do with the multiple lawsuits that he is facing in the States," a source told the Daily Mail.

"With all this stuff with Diddy, Kanye is terrified," the sources continued, referencing the ongoing sex crime charges that have been leveled against Diddy with his trial set for May 2025.

Despite distancing himself from Bad Boy Records founder, especially since their fallout, sources told the news outlet that West fears being dragged into the case, perhaps as a witness.
