Ben Affleck Reportedly Adopts Security Dog After Visit From FBI And LA Police Amid Wildfires

Ben Affleck was spotted enjoying a leisurely afternoon stroll around his Brentwood neighborhood, accompanied by his son Sam and a new addition to the family - a loyal security dog.

This comes after the actor's neighborhood witnessed heightened activity by law enforcement agents amid the Los Angeles wildfires.

Ben Affleck had earlier fled his home in the wake of the Eaton Fires, which ravaged many parts of Southern California, but he has since returned, as his house wasn't directly affected.

Affleck was recently spotted with his son, Sam, and a new canine companion.

The father and son took the black-and-brown German Shepherd for a walk through the actor's Brentwood neighborhood on Friday and were joined by two trainers from Trident Elite Protection Dog.

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the "Gone Girl" star cut a casual look in a gray-and-white cardigan sweater over a white button-down shirt and tan pants and completed the look with brown shoes.

On the other hand, Sam wore a pair of green-and-black plaid pajama pants with a black T-shirt and gray shoes. The young boy looked excited to walk along with the security dog, using an orange and black leash to keep it under control.

Affleck is seemingly prioritizing some family time amid the L.A. fires that ravaged communities near his Brentwood home.

He was recently seen on a casual outing with his middle child, Fin, whom, alongside Sam and daughter Violet, he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The teenager appeared in bright spirits as they walked down a sidewalk with Affleck.

The actor sparked security concerns as officials from the FBI and the L.A. County Sheriff's Department visited his Brentwood home earlier.

The law enforcement agents seemingly didn't meet him at home as they called out several times and appeared to have used the call box close to the gate, yet got no response.

Days later, the "Accountant 2" actor's Brentwood neighborhood saw a surge in security activity as a swarm of law enforcement officials, including the military, flooded the area.

According to TMZ, a sand-colored military Humvee was parked near the actor's home. However, that didn't dissuade him from going about his activities as he was pictured calmly driving past the vehicle, appearing unbothered by the unusual sight.

Reports suggest the increased military presence is not directly related to Affleck, as the National Guard has since been stationed in the area to support firefighting efforts in the wake of the ravaging inferno.

Affleck's daughter Violet has reportedly been "pressuring" her famous parents to protect themselves with face masks amid the hazardous air quality caused by the damaging fires.

Violet has gained notoriety for her public campaign for the government to strengthen pandemic-era protection. In a speech she gave last summer, she called for the imposition of a "mask mandate."

A source told the Daily Mail that the Yale University freshman "has been pressuring her family to put a mask on since she has been back home because right now the air quality is unhealthy."

"She is clearly not going to give up on advocating for mask mandates. It has become a part of who she is and what she stands for," the source continued. "She is so passionate about this and she feels vindicated for her work championing masks because she does, truly, believe that her opposition to the ban is warranted."

The insider added, "She is hoping the fires will serve to show people that masks can be used in times not only connected to the spread of a virus."

Affleck will reportedly miss out on the upcoming Sundance Film Festival in order not to pull focus from his movie with his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez.

The film, "Kiss Of The Spider Woman," will be premiering at the prestigious event scheduled for next weekend. However, a source told the Daily Mail that he has "no plans" to attend because he knows "his appearance would mean the focus is not on his artwork."

"Ben worked hard on the film and it is something he is proud of, but he knows that if he goes to Sundance, his appearance will mean the focus is not on his artwork but rather, it will be focused on his interactions with his ex," the insider dished.

The source went on to say that Affleck has "completely moved on with his life" and wouldn't want "his work to be overshadowed by his past relationship."

"He wants the film to be talked about, not his failed marriage," they added.

The former couple finally settled their divorce after the singer filed to dissolve their marriage in August.

Lopez filed a settlement document in the Los Angeles Superior Court that showed who gets what after the split. The document was signed on September 25, 2024, but it wasn't filed until December 31, 2024. It will become official on February 20, 2025.

The exes didn't sign a prenuptial agreement during their marriage, so they settled through mediation with Hollywood divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.
