Ben Affleck Encounters Massive Military Vehicle At His Home After Tense Exchange With Police

Ben Affleck's Brentwood home has been subject to heightened security amid the Pacific Palisades wildfires.

After previously being visited by the FBI and a verbal encounter with police officers, the actor came home again to find a massive military vehicle near his home.

Ben Affleck initially evacuated his newly purchased mansion due to the wildfires but quickly returned after learning it survived the blaze.

Affleck's upscale Brentwood neighborhood has seen a surge in security activity, and a military presence has now joined the scene.

This comes just days after police and FBI agents were spotted in the area due to the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire. Most recently, a sand-colored military Humvee equipped with a turret for mounting heavy artillery was seen parked near Affleck's home.

The actor was photographed calmly driving past the vehicle, appearing unbothered by the unusual sight. A uniformed military officer stood beside the Humvee, but the actor did not interact with the military personnel.

According to TMZ, despite the close proximity to his home, the military deployment is not connected to Affleck personally.

The National Guard has been stationed in the area to support firefighting efforts as the Pacific Palisades wildfire continues to rage, burning over 23,000 acres and destroying neighborhoods in Malibu and beyond.

With Affleck's home located near the edge of the evacuation zone, the increased security presence is part of ongoing measures to protect the community and contain the wildfire.

Earlier this week, FBI agents were seen at Affleck's Brentwood home investigating a drone incident involving a collision with a firefighting aircraft.

Despite the presence of federal agents, sources told the news outlet that Affleck is not under investigation and faces no legal issues related to the situation.

Just days after the FBI visit, photographers captured the "Gone Girl" actor in what appeared to be a heated exchange with local police officers.

In the video, Affleck pulled up beside two police officers parked near his driveway, rolled down the window of his BMW, and appeared visibly frustrated as he voiced concerns about the security personnel in the area.

While the exact details of the conversation are unclear, Affleck seemed upset over what he described as unnecessary interference by private security guards.

After a brief but tense discussion, the mood gradually eased, and Affleck drove off calmly.

Tensions in the neighborhood remain high due to the nearby Palisades wildfire, which has led to evacuation orders and reports of looting in affected areas.

Although Affleck's home is just outside the mandatory evacuation zone, heightened security and restricted access have created ongoing challenges for local residents.

The FBI investigation and increased law enforcement presence at Affleck's home followed his recent evacuation due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

On January 7, Affleck was forced to leave his rental property as the fires tore through the area, destroying thousands of homes, businesses, and schools and claiming at least 25 lives.

During the evacuation, the "Good Will Hunting" star temporarily stayed at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's nearby home.

A source also revealed to Page Six that Affleck's ex, Jennifer Lopez, has been in "regular contact" with him amid the crisis.

Affleck swiftly returned to his home on January 8. At the time, a source shared that while he remained under evacuation status, the actor felt "grateful his property is safe for the time being."

"Ben knows many people who unfortunately lost their homes," the insider added. "He has seen a lot of devastation, and it's beyond tragic. … Ben is reaching out to anybody he can to help."

Meanwhile, Lopez and Affleck officially finalized their divorce over five months after their unexpected split on their second wedding anniversary.

The couple, who married in 2022, will legally end their marriage on February 20. According to the Daily Mail, both Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, will retain the assets they individually acquired during their brief union.

The former couple has also reached a private agreement regarding their $61 million Beverly Hills mansion, though specific details remain undisclosed.
