Hugh Jackman's Ex Deborra-Lee Furness Is 'Choosing Joy' Amid His New PDA-Filled Romance

Deborra-Lee Furness is reportedly letting go of any resentment over her split from Hugh Jackman and embracing the next chapter of her life with "joy."

The ex-wife of the Wolverine star has been spotted in public several times in recent weeks following their split.

Deborra-Lee Furness' appearances have sparked analysis, with some suggesting she looks like she's "having the best time in the world" and doing "okay."

It has been over a year since Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced the end of their nearly 30-year marriage.

Since the split, rumors have circulated that the Wolverine star was romantically involved with Sutton Foster while still married, which allegedly caused significant hurt for Furness and was key to ending their marriage.

Now, body language expert Patti Wood has told The U.S. Sun that Furness seems to have let go of the pain and is now focusing on living life for herself.

As part of her analysis, Wood noted that Furness appeared carefree, with "a great smile on her face" and "no tension in her hands or face," as she was spotted riding a scooter through New York City on November 18.

"You have to be very centered and balanced to ride a scooter, which she is," the expert added about Furness' outing.

Wood also pointed to other recent appearances of Furness in public in the wake of her divorce.

She noted how the actress looked "joyful" while attending the January 14 Australian Open with her daughter Ava, 19.

"She looks like she's having the best time in the world. She's letting go, saying 'I'm just going to be in the moment and grab my joy.' And it looks genuine, not fake," the body expert analyzed.

Wood also called attention to how Furness looked upbeat when she appeared at the U.S. Open on September 3.

"She has a wide-open smile, a high-energy smile," Patti observed. "Her hand in her pocket indicates she's feeling a little bit protective, but overall, she's not tense.

According to the book author, all these signs point to the fact that Furness is "doing okay" even amid her ex's new romance.

While Furness seems to have remained uninvolved with anyone since her divorce, Jackman has publicly embraced his romance with Sutton Foster.

Earlier this week, the pair were spotted engaged in heavy PDA while waiting in line at a drive-through fast food outlet in San Fernando.

According to reports, they spent time locking lips intensely, with Foster Lovely stroking the Wolverine star's face while he had his arms around her.

The couple was also seen sharing a deep kiss while seated in the White Range Rover that Jackman drove to the location.

Previously, they were photographed walking hand-in-hand during a dinner date in Santa Monica, California. During the outing, they radiated affection and grinned lovingly at each other as they strolled down the sidewalk.

The new sightings from the couple seem to confirm earlier rumors that they had discussed taking their romance public.

"They are talking about going public sometime in the next few weeks, which Hugh is both excited and nervous about," a source told the Daily Mail at the time, adding that the Jackman was "feeling really positive about what 2025 will be."

According to the insider, Jackman had also promised Foster that "he will focus on exploring their future together."

Apart from Jackman and Foster's recent romantic sightings, the "Deadpool and Wolverine" star had made earlier moves to show his new lover his intentions towards her.

The actor has allegedly met with Foster's adopted daughter, Emily, and she approves of him.

"Hugh has met Sutton's daughter Emily - she even calls him 'Uncle Hugh'!" an insider told the New Idea about the duo.

He was also seen cheering Foster at the Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre where the Broadway star starred as one of the cast of "Once Upon A Mattress."

A source recently told the Daily Mail that Jackman's close pals have observed him become "rejuvenated" thanks to his romance with Foster, his co-star in "The Music Man."

"Hugh's close friends have seen a rejuvenated glow to him, and that is all thanks to Sutton," the source explained, adding that the couple "bonded over their individual, marital struggles but didn't strike up a romance until he was out of the heartbreak of his relationship ending."

"Things had been very rudimentary between Deborra-Lee and Hugh after the pandemic," the insider added. "Their relationship wasn't the same. He had such a special connection with Deborra-Lee, but that is now over, and he has to do what is right for him."
