Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Rice is living her best life as she soaks up the sun on her Maldives honeymoon with her husband, pastor Mark Lassey!

Fresh off their second wedding celebration in Perth, the couple enjoyed a luxurious getaway filled with breathtaking views, serene waters, and quality time together.

The 36-year-old former swimmer gave fans a glimpse of her dreamy honeymoon destination on Instagram, sharing a series of photos that highlighted her toned physique in a black and white striped bikini. Posing confidently in a crystal-clear oceanside pool, Rice looked radiant, captioning her post, “A week in heaven.”

In her heartfelt caption, she reflected on the whirlwind few months leading up to their romantic escape: “The last three months were so busy and intense, planning our wedding, finishing my master’s degree, selling all of Mark’s furniture, and booking our honeymoon… So to finally stop, relax, and have no decisions to make is absolute bliss.”

Rice and Lassey’s honeymoon comes just days after their stunning second wedding celebration in Perth. The couple, who first tied the knot earlier this month, opted for another intimate rooftop ceremony, sharing the special day with loved ones.

For the event, Rice wore a sleeveless silk gown paired with pearl drop earrings, while Lassey looked dapper in a cream suit with a white, partially unbuttoned shirt. The evening was filled with romantic moments, including fireworks lighting up the night sky as the newlyweds shared a passionate kiss.

Rice expressed her gratitude in a heartfelt Instagram post: “Because one night wasn’t enough. We had the most amazing night celebrating our marriage and farewell with our favourite people, on the most amazing rooftop, in this beautiful city, under the presence of God.”

The couple’s love story blossomed quickly. Rice and Lassey met at the beginning of 2024 and got engaged just seven months later, in September, after a romantic proposal at the luxurious Atlantis The Royal Hotel in Dubai.

Their first wedding took place at Sandalford Wines in Perth, with Rice donning a strapless satin gown and Lassey in a classic tuxedo. The couple celebrated with family and friends during a picturesque outdoor reception under a vine-covered pergola, with sparklers lighting the sky during their first dance.

Lassey, a 46-year-old pastor at Kingdom City Church, has been with the organization for over a decade. Rice, now based in Dubai, joined the church in late 2023 and has since become deeply involved in the faith community.

Rice’s journey to happiness hasn’t been without challenges. Before meeting Lassey, she was in a relationship with former soldier Dane Christison. However, the relationship ended earlier in 2024, with Rice later expressing her sense of peace and healing after the breakup.

“When we broke up, I felt the peace of God was upon me. I felt free, happy, and content. For the first time, I realized the heaviness I was carrying had lifted,” she shared.

Now, as she begins this new chapter with Lassey, Rice seems to have found both personal happiness and spiritual fulfillment.

Following their Maldives honeymoon, the couple plans to settle in Dubai, where Rice will continue her faith journey and professional endeavors. Lassey, a father of three sons from a previous relationship, will also be joining her in their new life together.
