Kim Zolciak's financial woes are not improving amid her nasty divorce from Kroy Biermann.
The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum continues to rack up debts over her prolonged separation from the former football linebacker. The latest bill comes from her divorce lawyers, who placed a 5-figure lien against the estranged couple's Georgia mansion.
The lien against their home marks one of many as Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann desperately tried to sell the property to pay off their debts. Unfortunately, the duo could not find a buyer and have been forced to move out as the bank moves forward with a foreclosure.
Kim Zolciak Receives Second Attorney's Lien Over Her Pending Divorce
According to official records, the law firm Snider & Snider PC and its attorney Rachel Snider filed an attorney's lien against Zolciak's 15,694 square-foot home over their unpaid services. They claimed she owed them $55,143 as of October 25 for the work done on her divorce from Biermann.
The amount owed appeared to significantly decrease from the initial lien filed by Snider & Snider earlier this year. At the time, they claimed Zolciak owed them $77,000 for their services and slapped the lien on her Georgia mansion to ensure payment once the home was sold.
The attorney's lien marked the second time Zolciak had been accused of owing her divorce lawyers for their services. David Beaudry, a lawyer from a different law firm, filed an attorney's lien against the property for a debt of over $33,000, per In Touch.
The Estranged Couple Failed To Sell Their Home
The race to sell the seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom property began in October 2023 when the estranged couple listed it for $6 million. Additionally, they filed a petition against the bank to prevent their home from being foreclosed on before they found a buyer.
"We strongly believe that the proceeds from its sale can help alleviate our financial difficulties and secure a stable future for our children. However, the impending threat of foreclosure is looming over us, and time is of the essence," Zolciak told the court in her motion, adding:
"Kroy and I will face insurmountable financial hardships, and the most devastating consequence will be the impact on our children, who would be left homeless."
Despite multiple price slashes, the Georgia mansion remained on the market for months without interested buyers. Left with no other options, Zolciak and Biermann prepared to move out while the bank proceeded with its foreclosure plans.
The 'RHOA' Alum's Daughter Reflected On Her Time In The Mansion
Weeks before Zolciak's divorce lawyers filed an attorney's lien against her home, The Blast reported that her daughter had given fans an emotional tour of the nearly empty property. The former athlete's adopted daughter, Ariana Biermann, shared the heartbreaking video on TikTok.
The post set to Dean Lewis's emotional tune, "How Do I Say Goodbye," captured Ariana walking through the stripped-down Georgia mansion while reminiscing about her memories.
Many of the rooms she explored were empty, excluding a bedroom and the space where the family celebrated their last Christmas on the property.
Ariana looked sad as she navigated through the spaces where she once enjoyed various luxuries with her family. When she was holding back tears, she bonded with her younger siblings, pulling them into a warm hug at one point.
The Former Bravolebrity Blamed Her Estranged Husband For A Poor Living Experience
Last month, Zolciak opened up about her living experience with Biermann following their moving-out drama. The Blast shared that paparazzi caught up with her at LAX on December 16, where she blamed her estranged husband for their run-in with authorities.
The former Bravolebrity cited Biermann as the consistent problem in their relationship, claiming he had a history of being too controlling. She described the last few years with him as "torture," noting he had done worse behind the scenes, but she would not share his crimes.
As for what happened during their moving out phase, Biermann reportedly parked his car in front of Zolciak's moving van to stop it from leaving. He refused to let the vehicle leave because he believed his estranged wife had taken items that did not belong to her.
Inside Kim Zolciak And Kroy Biermann's Drama
The heated confrontation between Zolciak and Biermann ended with cops' intervention as they forced the former football player to cooperate. The incident marked their second visit to the Georgia mansion amid the duo's relocation plans.
During the first incident, Zolciak called authorities to assist her in moving out because of Biermann's tantrums. He interfered with her packing because he only wanted her to move female-related items, leading to a verbal altercation.
The tensions between them increased despite authorities' presence, with the pair accusing each other of theft. Zolciak claimed Biermann took her iPad and four security cameras while he accused her of stealing his laptop and miscellaneous documents.
