Justin Bieber's recent move on social media has sparked a wide range of reactions from fans after he reportedly unfollowed his longtime friend and mentor, Usher, on Instagram.

Eagle-eyed social media accounts observed that Usher is no longer among Bieber's followed accounts on Instagram.
A search for Usher's account on the "Sorry" singer's list of followed accounts on Instagram brings no results, meaning he no longer follows him.
X account, Pop Tingz, and many other similar social media pages shared news of Bieber unfollowing Usher and it led to several reactions from fans, who speculated on what it could mean.
Fans Concerned About Justin Bieber After He Unfollowed Usher
Many Bieber fans took to social media to express concern after news of him unfollowing his musical mentor went viral.
One fan said Bieber's move was insane and different. They wrote, "This is actually crazy, I usually don't care about celebrities unfollowing other celebrities but this! This is different..."
A second person opined, "I know I shouldn't be invested but Justin Bieber unfollowing Usher has genuinely baffled me? And now I'm even more concerned at what the hell happened. Not everyone is old enough to remember the bond they had but I swear concern is the correct response here."
A third person felt there could be more behind Bieber unfollowing Usher due to their close bond. They wrote, "Something fishy's going on here because they were like father and son."
Fans Link Justin Bieber Unfollowing Usher To Diddy
Usher and Diddy are two people who greatly influenced Bieber's rise in the music industry. However, his relationship with the pair has been scrutinized after Diddy's arrest and incarceration on sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.
Usher introduced Bieber to Diddy after taking him under his wing. Following Diddy's arrest, rumors emerged Usher and Bieber were victims of his sexual exploitation.
Although those rumors have never been proven true, some netizens linked Bieber unfollowing Usher to Diddy.
One person who believes in that theory wrote, "Didn't Usher bring Justin Bieber to the Diddy parties when he was a minor? If so he has every reason to unfollow him."
A second person who thinks Bieber holds the key to unraveling the Diddy saga wrote, "I have a feeling that Justin Bieber could be the key to fully illuminating the whole Diddy thing and all of the details/accomplices."
A third X user with similar sentiments shared, "Some scary sh-t is about to drop regarding this Diddy case I can feel it and I'm hoping Justin stays okay mentally."
Fans Think Bieber's Action Could Be A Marketing Strategy
Although many people showed concern for Bieber, some believe there is nothing to worry about, and he and Usher are still friends.
One such person said, "Y'all really think Justin and Usher aren't friends anymore just because of an unfollow? These grown men in their 30s and 40s aren't cutting ties over an IG follow. Stop taking social media so seriously."
Meanwhile, a few others think Bieber is trying to bring attention to himself as he plans for his musical comeback this year.
One fan wrote, "Notice how he's doing all this to seek attention from people just when news comes that he's making his music comeback?"
Another X user added, "This has to be a marketing strategy ain't no way."
Bieber 'Needs The Money' Amid Reported Musical Comeback
News of Bieber unfollowing Usher on Instagram comes a day after reports revealed he was gearing up for a musical comeback.
Bieber has been without a musical project since releasing his 2021 album, "Justice." In 2023, he also revealed he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which forced him to cancel his "Justice World Tour."
However, there was reason for the singer's fans to get excited after sources told Matthew Belloni of Puck News that he could return to music because "he needs the money and wants to work."
According to the outlet, Bieber "still owes" the touring company AEG "a ton for his canceled tour, among other pop star expenses."
