The streaming network informed its subscribers via its website that, at Meghan's request, it has decided to postpone the release of the first season of her upcoming cooking show, With Love, Meghan.

Meghan responded to the decision and expressed her gratitude to Netflix for their cooperation after sharing her intention to push back the release until March.

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, have demonstrated compassion during this period, a trait synonymous with their brand since leaving the royal family and moving to the United States.

The couple was spotted on Friday surveying an area affected by the Pacific Palisades fire in the West L.A. area.

Prince Harry and Meghan showed up dressed casually, both wearing face masks. Meghan opted for a bright blue shirt paired with black pants, while Harry kept it simple in an all-black ensemble, complete with a black baseball cap.

Contrary to reports of trouble in their marriage, the couple appeared cordial as they held hands and walked through the area for nearly 45 minutes.

Aside from showing up at one of the affected areas, the couple visited the Pasadena Convention Center, which is doubling as an evacuation center, on Friday.

As reported by The Blast, the former working royals comforted victims and distributed food and other necessary items to people in need of supplies.

The couple reportedly donated to relief efforts through their Archewell Foundation, including "clothing, children's items, and other essential supplies to those affected by the fires."

Harry and Meghan have also opened the doors of their Montecito home to their close friends and loved ones who were directly affected by the wildfire.

PR Professionals Tagged The Show's Former Release Date As 'Tone Deaf' And 'Insensitive'

Despite the actress announcing her show's release date shortly before the fire, media publicity experts raised concerns about the January date as soon as the wildfire began.

The PR professionals noted that the actress and her team's decision to continue with the proposed release date would come across as "insensitive" and "tone-deaf."

"I think Netflix bosses will have to make some big decisions as to whether to air With Love, Meghan in the next week," UK brand and culture expert Nick Ede shared. Ede added that the star and Netflix might be at a crossroads, deciding whether to proceed or rescind their decision.

Meghan's new show will now premiere on March 4, a move Ede predicted would positively impact her and Netflix's public image. The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, is part of her and Prince Harry's $100 million (£80 million) deal with the streaming giant.

Since their collaboration to roll out content centered on Meghan and Harry's life outside Buckingham Palace, public opinions have remained divided, often trading blame on the mom of two.

Ede noted that the new show is not time-sensitive, "so it means it can be aired later down the line." The media expert added:

"We know how important the community is to both Meghan and Harry, and the last thing they would want is a backlash due to the show airing while they are currently going above and beyond to support those in need at this time."

Meghan Markle's excellent deeds since the wildfire broke out have not gone unnoticed, and she has earned applause from various corners.
