Brady faced criticism again for his commentary during an NFL game, this time for mixing up player names in his first-ever playoff broadcast.

The former NFL star joined Kevin Burkhardt to provide commentary for the NFC Wild Card game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly until the game approached halftime, with the Eagles leading 10-0. That's when Brady made a blunder that didn't go unnoticed.

While attempting to praise a play call from Philadelphia, he mistakenly mentioned the city's baseball team instead of the football team, leaving fans scratching their heads about his glaring error.

"[You have] three timeouts, so you'd have a couple plays. But I like this call by the Phillies... excuse me, by Philly," Brady said, per the Daily Mail.

As if that wasn't enough, Brady further fumbled when he referred to Packers running back Josh Jacobs as Brandon Jacobs—a retired NFL halfback who hasn't played in years.

Tom Brady Forgot Vital Team Info For A Previous Commentary

Brady's latest blunder follows another misstep from late last year when the former footballer forgot key details about the Green Bay Packers during their game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Fox Sports analyst was commenting on the three teams that beat the Packers for the season but couldn't remember their names.

"Two of them to the (Detroit) Lions -- they're a good team," Brady said, per Talk Sport. "The (Philadelphia) Eagles, they lost to them. They're a good team."

Instead of admitting he couldn't remember the names, Brady opted to stretch out the moment with an uncomfortable silence. When he finally spoke, it only made it more obvious that the former football star had no idea which teams he was referring to.

"And they lost to the uh ...," Brady said, adding, "Who'd they lose to, the other one?"

In a last-ditch effort to cover his blunder, Brady swiftly shifted gears and started talking about the game itself.

"Anyway," he said. "They've got a big opportunity today to go on the road, and really a litmus test for what they're going to face in two weeks."

Tom Brady made his NFL broadcasting debut on September 8 during Fox Sports' coverage of the Dallas Cowboys' 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

It marked the beginning of his $375 million deal from Fox to become an analyst for NFL games. The deal is set to last for 10 years, with around $37.5 million to be paid to Brady annually.

This makes the seven-time Super Bowl winner one of the highest-paid NFL sportscasters, with his annual salary far surpassing the likes of CBS' Tony Romo and ESPN's Troy Aikman.

On the second day of the new year, Brady took to his Instagram account to reflect on 2024, admitting that the year didn't go how he wanted.

In a series of snaps he shared alongside his note, Brady can be seen ringing in 2025 with his children. Brady shares 17-year-old son Jack with his ex-partner Bridget Moynahan, as well as son Benjamin and daughter Vivian with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

"I couldn't have imagined a better way to ring in the new year than with the loves of my life," the football star told his 15.1 million followers. "Reflecting on last year and thinking about the year ahead, there's no better perspective than looking at these three and always trying to be better for them each day and helping to guide them in whatever way possible."

He then concluded his lengthy note by wishing his followers a "happy, healthy 2025" and quoting one of his famous mantras: "The best is yet to come."
