In their statement, Harry and Meghan also encouraged Americans to donate to the American Red Cross, charging them to be their brother's keeper.

"Some families and people have been left with nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children's toys & clothing, and other essentials. The American Red Cross is on the ground helping those in need," the statement read.

The ravaging fire across parts of L.A. has prompted evacuation orders for more than 179,000 people, with some casualties already recorded.

Officials attributed the spread of fire to high winds and drought in the area, which has made vegetation very dry and easy to burn.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are at risk of losing the power to their Montecito mansion as the fires continue to wreak havoc in the Los Angeles area.

According to the Daily Mail, local electricity provider Southern California Edison is considering a so-called Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in parts of Santa Barbara County due to a "red flag" warning and an increased risk of the fire.

Residents in the neighboring counties, including Montecito, where Harry and Meghan live, are now being contacted to prepare for the worst, as the PSPS could affect 4,172 customers in Santa Barbara County and other regions.

In the advent of a power outage, Harry and Meghan's Internet connection may also suffer damaging effects, which would make getting information online difficult.

According to reports, over 1,000 structures have been destroyed since the wildfires began.

Additionally, over 30,000 residents have been forced to flee their homes, while the Governor of California has declared a state of emergency.

Experts have also warned that, due to increasing winds, the situation in the Pacific Palisades area will worsen before it improves.

"This event is not only not over, but it is just getting started and will get significantly worse before it gets better," UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain shared in a briefing per the Los Angeles Times.

These winds have forced crews to ground firefighting aircraft that had been deploying water onto the blazes. The winds disperse the water or retardant before it can effectively reach the fire.
