Cher made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show on Tuesday evening, where she was grilled with some rapid-fire questions about her life.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the "Heart of Stone" appeared to be put off by some of Kimmel's questions, leading to an awkward moment on set.

In a conversation, while promoting her book "Cher: The Memoir," whose first part was released in November 2024, Kimmel asked the singer if she'd started the second part ahead of the November 2025 release date.

"The second part of your book, have you finished that yet?" Kimmel asked, which seemed to trigger the singer.

At first, Cher responded with a laugh before admitting that she hadn't "even started it."

As Cher maintained a cold silence during the interview, Kimmel said about her memoir, "So it's not coming out in November.'

"Yes, it is," Cher replied, insisting it will be released in November, to which Kimmel teased, "We'll see."

The conversation turned into a back and forth between the pair before Kimmel jokingly offered assistance on the memoir, to which Cher politely declined.

As the show went on, Kimmel began to ask another question, but the music legend was seemingly fed up and shut him down before he could finish his statement.

Toward the end of the interview, Kimmel asked the music legend another question, saying, "If you could turn back time [a reference to Cher's hit single 'If I Could Turn Back Time],'" but before he could finish, the singer interjected.

Elsewhere in her conversation with Kimmel, Cher, born Cheryl Sarkisian, went further to weigh in on her relationship with Sonny Bono as she revealed the reason why they stayed long together.

She shared a tumultuous marriage with Bono from 1964 to 1975 and starred in "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour" with him.

According to the Daily Mail, the singer told Kimmel that their time on the show kept their marriage going for a long period.

"I have to tell you something. Doing the show kept us together because, on the show, we had so much fun. We were equal, you know?" Cher began.

"That was -- I mean, I loved -- I loved it. We loved it. We worked so well together. We had so much fun, and it really kept us closer longer than I really wanted," Cher added.

During the interview, Cher credited a mystery man with helping her leave Bono. Although she mentioned him in her book, she didn't name him on television as she mused about how he must have felt about it.

"I have people that I've mentioned in there, and I'm wondering, you know, what do they think. Like, one guy in particular, who was... he was very instrumental in helping me to leave Sonny," Cher said.

"I wonder, I mentioned his whole name, so, I wonder, how does he feel about it? But he must feel good because he was a really good person," she added.

The actress then mentioned that she thought this particular person was in Texas right now, though she opted against Kimmel finding him and getting him on the phone.

The Kimmel interview comes after Cher revealed the identity of the music producer who pressed her for sex at age 15 and later pulled a gun on her.

In her book, she detailed the "weird" encounter she had in the early 1960s with the late Phil Spector, whom she met through her boyfriend at the time, Antonino LoTempio.

"He might have been a demigod to many, but he acted weird, and I didn't like how he stared at me," she wrote of the music producer in her memoir before recounting the shocking moment he asked her to sleep with him.

"'Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?' he said, smirking, asking me to sleep with him," Cher penned. She then wrote her response, telling him that she would have sex with him in exchange for money.

"Without breaking a sweat, I gave him a look back and replied, 'Oui, pour l'argent,'" she shared.

Cher added in her book, "You could have knocked him over with a feather. He didn't think I'd understand the question, let alone have an answer."
