Mark Hamill and James Woods Among Hollywood Stars Evacuating As Pacific Palisades Fire Spreads

Celebrities have taken to social media overnight to announce that they too have had to evacuate due to the Pacific Palisades wildfires.
Oscar-winning actor James Woods and "Star Wars" legend Mark Hamill are only a few of the many celebrities who have announced that they needed to leave their homes in order to stay safe.

On Tuesday night, “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill announced that he evacuated Malibu around 7 PM local time. The evacuation was “so last-minute” that he was surrounded by small fires on either side of the road as they left the area.
Fortunately, Hamill and his family arrived safely in Hollywood over an hour later. After calling the blaze the “most horrific fire” since 1993, he encouraged his followers to stay safe.
In the comments, many followers echoed his words of “Stay Safe!” and repeated the iconic “Star Wars” line: “May the Force Be With You.”

On Tuesday, actor James Woods took to X, the social media platform formerly known as X, to share his experience with the blaze. Although he and his family was able to evacuate, he does not know if his house is still standing. A few hours later, he revealed that his iPhone was sending him alerts that all of the smoke detectors were going off in his house at once.
“I couldn’t believe our lovely little home in the hills held on this long. It feels like losing a loved one,” he wrote early on Wednesday morning.
In a follow-up tweet, he added, “It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say.”

“Halloween” actress Jamie Lee Curtis took to Instagram Wednesday morning to let her followers know that her home was “possibly” on fire but let them know that, fortunately, her family is safe. Unfortunately, many of her friends “will lose their homes” and “many other communities as well.”
“It is a terrifying situation and I'm grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze,” she wrote, thanking first responders for their hard work in trying to contain the blaze.
“Take care of each other. Stay out of the way and let the firefighters do their work. Pray if you believe in it and even if you don't, pray for those who do,” she concluded, wrapping up the post with a photo credit to emphasize that the burning window was not from her home.

Comedian Whitney Cummings did not have any jokes in the caption of her post, which showed her holding her newborn baby on the side of the road with a firetruck parked in the background.
“LAFD snd [sic] just all fire fighters, thank you. Gonna be a wild couple days,” she wrote in the caption. “As I seriously consider moving out of California I remember these heroes don’t think that way.”
In the comments, Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of “30 Rock” actor Alec Baldwin, commented, “OREGON so we can be Mom friends.”
Kaley Cuoco Calls Pacific Palisades Fires ‘Heart Wrenching To Witness’
Although she posted no photos, “The Big Bang Theory” alum Kaley Cuoco took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to offer up her thoughts and prayers for those affected by the blaze.
“Prayers for the incredible first responders, all the homes being lost, loved ones and animals,” she wrote in a brief message. “This is heart wrenching to witness what’s happening in our backyard.”
As of Tuesday night, the fire was 0% contained and evacuation routes began to close as the fire spread.
