In a recent interview with People Magazine, for their latest cover story, the 36-year-old recounted an emotional moment she experienced just weeks after her husband's passing. While preparing for his funeral alongside a close friend, she discovered a hidden stash of substances tucked away in shoeboxes.

"I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral," Holker recalled. "It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about]."

Boss’s final days remain a source of immense heartbreak and unanswered questions. On the morning of December 12, 2022, he checked into a motel less than a mile from their home. According to hotel staff, he appeared calm and showed no visible signs of distress. He carried only a small bag and booked the room for one night.

When Boss missed his checkout time the following day, hotel staff went to check on him and discovered his body. Authorities were called, and it was later confirmed that Boss had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

She later explained, "I don't want people to feel when they read it that I'm being their therapist. I am not educated in that world, but I had this really traumatic thing happen in my life that only made me realize what I was already working on is really, really important for me to continue on. It gave me more of a focus and more of a purpose, and I really hope I can be an advocate and a voice to people that feel alone or left behind."

Through her courage and openness, Allison Holker is honoring Stephen 'tWitch' Boss's memory while shedding light on the importance of mental health awareness and the hidden struggles so many face in silence.
